Yeah, they all went to college and did the college program. According to the article that came out about them a couple weeks ago, Max did the college program twice.

It wasn’t just theorized; Max was pretty open in the article about being the financial backer. I did not watch his stream, but did jump on at one point to see what it looked like and saw only about 200 in attendance. Seems he hasn’t been able to grow his lives much since I stopped attending trivia. Looking at his Twitch, it looks like they don’t really do trivia anymore these days? Instead it looked like it was Live Pictionary. I guess he ran out of Buzzfeed quizzes to copy, which by the way Molly also mentioned in that article; she said when she was really bored at her corporate job she used to do Buzzfeed quizzes 😂

I still think Max didn't really cough up that much actual money. Why would he when they immediately had over $20k /month. Maybe he said he'd give them money if they needed it, but I just don't think he handed them a check for like thousands of dollars.

I agree, but from the get-go it felt like Molly was underestimating her Instagram following and the buzz surrounding her breaking out on her own. I think she was nervous and did need that sort of financial reassurance from Max. Obviously any fears she had were unfounded as now Alan has quit his job too.

I honestly just think Max enjoys the glory that comes with saying, I believed in her even when she didn’t believe in herself. He seemed proud to say that it was his support/money/advice that inspired Molly to leave AllEars and start her own Channel.

I guess I just have a a little trouble buying the whole narrative of they would've lost everything and been on skid row were it not for Max.
I mean, AllEars I doubt pays very well, so I feel they were losing a smaller percent of income by her leaving AllEars than they're letting on.
She could've always gotten some kind of job to fill in gaps if needed. I'm saying all this as someone who started a business without a bunch of stans forking over $30k/month while I figured out how to work the equipment to do the job right.
Did Alan leave his job to be in every video, or just to learn how to use a microphone?

You know, I actually sort of like this channel and a lot of their content but they seem to be doing things other "influencers" with threads here do and it kind of pisses me off.

They recently put out a video with a lot of voiceover on it. I think they were at a nice restaurant or something and I commented with some technical advice to help avoid so many plosives. aka popping P's. I was watching the video on my TV with a soundbar and no subwoofer but it was "PPPPPUUUUHHHHH" all over the place for ten minutes. Well, rather than leaving the comment, or thanking me for the free audio advice, they deleted my comment and likely shadow banned me. That's messed up man! It as 10000% constructive and not a tinge of mean or rude or troll but they decided to take it to that level. F them and their terrible audio. bleeping amateurs.

That doesn’t surprise me. My sister back when she was a fan once left some feedback on Instagram about content she’d like to see when they were in Disneyland and ended up having a back and forth with Molly. She was extremely defensive. Finally my sister said something like, you know when you receive feedback, the thing to do is to say “noted” rather than give a bunch of excuses. From thereon anytime my sister would leave any comments, Molly would passive aggressively respond “noted.” Now I guess her new tactic is to just delete the comment rather than engaging with anyone.
---
I asked my sister if she had saved any of her exchanges with Molly and here’s a few; I guess she realized that just deleting comments was better that engaging because this didn’t come off very well

Wow! That is NOT how you handle things. As much as you want to respond that way, a business needs to remain neutral toward the public. I’m pretty sure it’s PR 101. Behind the scenes say what you want but when representing the brand just reply with a boiler plate reply instead of this. What a power cow!

Most viewers do not read the comments. I understand trying to keep the chat below the video friendly, but upsetting viewers who are there just trying to understand or add support only drives that viewer to Tattle. That is how the Tim Tracker threads started: the threads were comprised of people who Jenn had offended in chat. Now look at those threads, they're into the 100s and downright crude/mean to the point that I cannot even read them.

One of the most important things I learned in college was learning to accept critique of my work and adapt. The professors and other students were not there to harm me by telling me my project was trash, LOL, they were helping me to stop wasting time and to build a better one. You'd think that these three (Molly, Alan & Max) would have learned that same lesson.

Self reflect and differentiate between those who mean well and trolls otherwise you come across as ignorant and blinded.
Without learning new things from that critique we are stuck in a loop that will eventually implode on itself, as we see happening in the Tim tracker world where his income is now less than half of what it was only 3 years back.

I similarly had to get good at receiving feedback through grad school and now as an instructor I get feedback every semester from students. I know Molly finished her degree in communications, and yet I feel like her communicating with the public, even meeting people in the parks, has been less than stellar.

I too am an audio professional, worked in theatre for years and refuse to offer any suggestions here since it's known they read here. Given their $30k/month, they could hire a professional, if only there were theatrical/video/audio professionals in central Florida they could pay to help them.......

All of these interactions really align with mine which is detailed in the first thread. I agree that they're phony.

I agree with you I just couldn’t stand to listen to 15 minutes of it which is why I spoke out. They’re too dumb to know what plosives and sibilant S’s are.

Although the thought of Molly improving her audio skills by taking advice from TattleLife and then pretending that is not what happened is objectively pretty hilarious.

But seriously, yikes! I just don’t understand anyone with the sort of following she has being so defensive and snarky over relatively polite advice. At the very least, just don’t engage at all if it bothers you so much. Water off a duck’s back, Molly.

It is kind of funny.

Yeah, it's a fine line because she'd do none and then the stans would be upset. I'm sure some of them see it as her being a boss lady or something by telling off the haters. But, in reality, she's deleting like she's Jen Tracker and also building up her Tattle following, lol.

Molly is not gracious at accepting constructive criticism but your sister also comes off as a total troll and obvious hater in those exchanges. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I didn't see anything trolling there. She simply said she thought they shared too much and told Molly she'd followed them, but as a new company, they should've been responding to people more frequently and not just picking and choosing which to respond to.

I read it more as someone who is possibly younger and wasn't able to articulate their feelings via text which may or may not have come off with a certain tone. However, the responses are just as juvenile if not more so. Rather than taking the high road and just ignoring, she engaged and dove in. She at least attempted to offer some info about the "why" unlike a troll who would just say negative things to be negative. It clearly bothered Molly that someone would say they didn't like how she had organized and created content. I definitely see her as a bit of a control freak.

I think the sister hit a nerve hence the reactions. She/they never replied to what I wrote about the audio so clearly it is not something that bothered them past deleting the comment. You can see they have a certain formula to their videos and a lot of their content is similar which I think could bite them in the long run. A lot of it right now is focused on the paid extras such as their multiple cocktail classes on cruises, going to a ticketed vent like Epcot after hours, Staying the Poly bungalows, $600 Monsieur Paul meal, etc... they're shifting content more from the every-person WDW guest to the more luxurious stuff. Now, I get it their Patreon alone plus tax write-offs and some outside sponsors is allowing for it but I think it also pushes some folks away when it is so much of that kind of content at once. I think some of the success may be disconnecting them from their majority demographic.

And then you have the DISMoms who on other forums will eat you alive should you say anything remotely critical of them/Disney/etc.. so she knows those Stans will back them up and they live in a can do no wrong world.
