Remember shopping hear with my late mum when we had a trip into town. Haven’t been in there for ages but looks like it’s going to be smaller after the re build.
genuinely shocked this beautiful building is getting torn down for a glass monstrosity with a gym and office space.. yeah because thats what London needs .. especially more office space . This is why we are all being forced back into 5 days a week/ I thought we had managed to avoid this happening..

ah well yet another appalling decision by this Labour Govt

This doesn't get the air time it deserves 👌🏻View attachment 3305563 q
bought some for my flatmate last Christmas as part of his gift to use on our Xmas meal. Hasn't been touched

I got this information from a youtube short I watched a while ago, so this may not be 100% accurate 😅, but in Japanese culture you're expected to bring back gifts for your co-workers when you come back from a vacation. Lots of places in Japan will sell boxes of individually wrapped cookies/sweets for the sole purpose of you taking back to the office to give out, so maybe the After Eights were bought with this in mind? Or the wife just had a serious After Eights addiction :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
You're 100% correct, and everything has to be individually wrapped, and no sharing between workers from one box of chocs, everyone on the team receives. (I have family working in Japan)
Also, I need to stop reading this thread as my nearest M&S is miles away and not easy to get to for me, I'm getting food envy :(

What are the ingredients please?
Semolina, sea salt, ground black pepper and dried onion

This is very random but when I lived in London my Mum’s highlight when she came to visit was going to Marble Arch M&S. Genuinely never seen someone so excited about it, she’d spend a whole day there. To the point that when she died unexpectedly, we sprinkled her ashes in various places she loved, including at the door of M&S in Oxford Street 😂

I think that is lovely ❤️ it’s a fun memory and one that is obviously special to you. We once saw Jackie Collins on the escalator in Marble Arch Store 😂😂

I can’t believe I’ve only had 1 pack of the gingerbread cookies 😨 I work in bath and the store has officially taken the label away this week. I probably went in 5-6 times for them and only got lucky once

I've been or sent relatives to look in Coventry, Morpeth, York, Arndale Centre... not a one to be found. Do they have a dedicated email address I can send them a tear stained email to?

I’m going to collect my bday biscuits tomorrow. Anything else I should look out for in store?! I’ll be trying to find the chilli chocolate covered tortillas again but not holding my breath ☹

The milk chocolate covered pistachios, turkey feast pasta, cheese tasters (😅), and definitely the gingerbread cookies, if your shop has them. Happy birthday too!

M&S are seriously pissing me off right now - what with the Marble Arch, No Sparks Advent and the continuing farce that is trying to buy normal food at this time of yr.... now this..

Just went out in the storm to my local to get myself something nice for dinner tomorrow as I usually do at weekends. Fought my way past all the chavs and families, past the food stalls that make me retch. Notices a Sparks offer for money off Christmas puddings so i thought I will take the opportunity to pick up ours as a Christmas pud lover.. walks all the way round the store and cant see them anywhere. Asked an assistant who pointed me to a rack near the chocolate and sweets aisle.. still can't see them.. theres or 6 shelves of expensive stollens, over priced mince pies etc and a couple of the £14 quid Xmas puds, no sign of the normal ones

pans gaze down... nope pannetones up the wazoo

pans down even further... normal mince pies

suddenly there at the bottom you know where supermarkets put their value range items hoping you wont see them... aha there the xmas puds are..

3 sizes... 1 mini individual size for £1.30 , a supposed 4 person one that is way too small for me and my flatmate at 4 and a massive one the sizeof a giant sriracha bottle for £7.. Nothing in between.

I know ppl arent meant to like Christmas Pudding these days and everything is salted fecking caramel or chocolate etc but some of us do and don't suggest freaks like us either only want a tiny individual one or a quarter portion that wont fill a flea

WHY are they hiding the Christmas puddings when every other area of the store you can barely find anything that isnt Christmas?
