He’s Jo’s biological dad, and her biological mum has to also be his biological sister so she got the two copies of the genes they shared as siblings in her DNA, which is the homozygosity that Steve mentioned verbally to Kate.

A lot of biological there 😂

What we don’t know is if the mum in the pic is her biological mum, or if she was in care etc (why is she Davidson not Hunter) and who the deceased Samantha is and where she fits in to the whole thing. Also when Jo found out might be crucial - has she always known or have the OCG contacted her with it and that’s the hold they have.

ETA: given who he is and his age compared to Jo it seems likely there was some sort of abuse there, but I suppose there is always the chance LoD will go down the “Tommy and her mum didn’t know they were siblings and then were horrified” line.

Anyone else feel like this would be a disappointing end for Ryan? Getting shot was all too easy.

I think next episode the OCG will make a big move to try and get Jo so she can’t rat. I don’t believe any of the main 3 are bent.

Can the four dots mean there’s four bent coppers LEFT to get? (Rather than 4 including the ones already caught) So biggeloe and then three more.. buckles, Osborne and Thurwell

Still wondering about what someone mentioned during the last week about Aldi Dot paying attention to Kate's phone and then everyone including her, leaving their phones on the table in the incident room. Ample opportunity for him to have a look at it when Kate went off to speak to Jo before they left on that op.

What can I say. Absolutely love Line of Duty and last nights episode didn't disappoint. I was so stressed out during the last 5/10 mins, I was actually pacing the bedroom saying I couldn't watch but still watching 😂 Boyfriend was like will you sit the duck down! :m

I hate Carmichael but I love her at the same time if you get what I mean, its the way she speaks.. Such a witch and I am all for it.

Hope Ryan isn't potato bread, would love to see him in an AC12 interview.

I couldn't sleep after that episode, not good for the stress levels at all :ROFLMAO:

Not sure if anyone has posted this or has any thoughts but I managed a screen shot of Teds old police photo with other officers . I didn’t know if it was relevant ie showing other names of officers. I wondered if we were supposed to recognise anyone on there , either by sight or name but nothing particularly stuck . Maybe it was to show that he’s sad about the way he is Leaving , but would be glad to hear thoughts .:)

Thanks for posting this! I didn’t know if we were meant to recognise anyone either? I don’t recognise any of the names but my memory’s like a sieve.. be interested to see what everyone else thinks.

I don’t recognise any either, but I think there’s a good chance at least one person from there will crop up in the next couple of episodes, so I’m sat here trying memorise their names now 🤣
 
I’ve rewatched the episode again . There were so many unanswered questions however

Carmichael asked for Steve’s phone at the end - I assumed she wanted it in her possession . She took over the call and then put the phone on the table which Steve took and was able to get the address that Kate text to him .
Was that an error on the writers part ? . Seems like it to me . Also why would Kate text knowing that Carmichael probably had the phone . This just seemed a bit lapse and weak for me . Thoughts ?

I don’t think she wanted the phone as such, I think she knew he was talking to Kate and wanted to know where she was.

I think it’s Carmichael on the other end of Jo’s laptop

Burnside? Are we getting a LoD/Bill crossover. Burnside was always came across as a bent bastard. You will need to be of a certain age to remember i.e ancient like me

I recongnised the name McCandless but i dont know where from, could be bloody anything
 
Finally caught up with last nights episode and this thread and I cannot wait for next week! Definitely think Carmichael is bent but the fact that she’s such a raging witch might be clouding my judgment 😂. Anna Maxwell Martin plays her perfectly! I don’t think Kate is H but the theory above is interesting and could point to her being involved with OCG in some way. I’m probs in the minority but I’m enjoying this series so much more than series 5 (the worst one imo).
