Lurker on other threads usually; interested to see thoughts on this. Don't usually hear Steve's show but found him funny when I did, taking the piss out of people who almost always deserve it. No doubt LBC sees his non-woke chat as a liability. Will be glad if Ian Payne disappears from 10pm-1am; he makes me cringe. Wonder who'll get that slot if IP is moving to early mornings? Quite like Darren Adam too, hope he's not going.
 
Wow, I'm genuinely shocked that Steve is gone given that he was the highest rated presenter in a crap time slot. I don't think they'll be able to replicate the same success.

They gave him almost word by word the same statement on Twitter that they did Farage and Maajid. Not a classy parting of ways after 44 years.

Yep. Steve's show has become more and more dumbed down over the last 10 or 12 years due to the idiotic rise of politically correct wokery. The station have probably finally succumed to the pressure and dumped him. It will leave HUGE hole in the listening figures and the sponsors will probably not be best pleased.

Even though he's not heterosexual himself I always liked his refusal to jump on the bandwagon of virtue signalling the modern view of being glad to be gay. To him it was just normal and nobody's damn business. "Camp as a row of tents" - "Marys" - "Whoopsies" and "Mincing Queen" were some of the phrases he gladly used to comic affect in regular shows until a few years ago.

This marks the end of an era in broadcasting and a very sad glimpse of the path cultural marxism will continue leading us down in the future.

It will be cancelled. I doubt if he'll be going ahead with it now. Too risky.
