It's not just that, one of the recruiting sergeants for these protestors is the fact that they know they will get coverage on corporate media. When there are peaceful climate protests LBC and the like don't cover it, when there are more disruptive protests the LBC reporter is on the scene getting arrested etc. and Nick Ferrari is ranting and raving. It's all just a sick game for the media, on whichever side of the fence they are sitting on any given day. I'm sick of the charade ... both from th pearl-clutchers and the ranters-and-ravers.

Purkiss has been too lazy to read the Just Stop Oil sentencing as well. Now she does not have the Tories as bogeymen and women people will notice the fact that she is both obnoxious and often badly informed more often.

Oh these people are so bleeping desperate. You do have to wonder what caused them to be this way. Or is it they are just more visable in society these days due to social media and tit daytime tv?

I think so. The awful need for attention and the relentless and ruthless desire to be "special". No wonder there's such an explosion of perceived mental health issues previously known as insecurity and self-doubt.

FOMO. I recently dated a young lady 10 years my junior ... I know, just call me DiCaprio ... but I was shocked at how concerned she was about what her friends were doing, buying, seeing, wearing, etc. etc. Honestly, who GIVES A duck. :rolleyes:
 
Sad really..Living your life based on SM "likes" and constantly comparing yourself and coming up short. What's the point and why do it to yourself? It's self-sabotage and toxic.

God, if only you had only been there to guide me. I'm left-handed and an only-child. People like us rarely venture out. 😬

I'm counting down the days untill us left-handers can claim some sort of disability or prior abuse. I spent all my school-days being marked down for 'untidy' handwriting (left-handers smudge their work as they write), so that knocked my confidence). I couldn't do lino-cutting correctly in art-class because the tools were for right-handers. Oh, the list is endless. Don't get me started on scissors. I think I have a massive potential financial claim against the state. :cautious: O'Brien, are you bleeping reading this? You need content you bleep, LEFT-HANDERS: THE LOST GENERATION.

I'm left handed! I can't say I had any problems with it. At least they'd stopped forcing children to write with their right hand. My mum was and by the time she was old enough to choose, her writing was a scrawl either way. It's said that that's why King George 6th had a bad stammer.
 
I thought Jobby was off next week, with Suella in on Tuesday, but he's still listed in the schedule. Perhaps they can't get his approval for who should have the honour of being his stand-in. :rolleyes: Imagine him barricading himself in the studio. 'No, I will not have Rees-Mogg sitting in my chair. Or Nadine Dories. And I had to get the place fumigated the last time Ferrari had Farridge in.'

Whoever said he's a 'diva' is right. God, it's so pathetic. I never really thought about it before, but he is.

People like Iain cannot function unless they are 'seen' and 'heard'. It must derive from a lack of hugs from mummy and daddy during the formative years. I'd hate to break the news that (a) no one actually gives a tit about what he has to say about anything and (b) when he dies no one will ever remember him for more than 10 seconds. If you broke the news to him he'd probably spiral out of control and hit all the dogging sites on Hampstead Heath in order to 'feel alive'. :rolleyes:
 
I was listening to Friday's Ian Payne on catch up yesterday. What an absolute mess. The first hour they just played the entire Trump speech. WTF. I know American President is the most powerful person in the free world but I have zero say in it. I do not need to hear an hours worth of speech from a candidate. Just tell the main points and who they've elected at the end of it.

If LBC are going down this route because they've got nothing else to say I won't be listening.

Funnily enough so was i ! Have got to quite enjoying Ian Payne's first half hour to go to sleep to. Put it on last night 'wtf' is this ? Sure it will finish soon, scrolled 15 minutes on, oh good it's a break Trump's finished, nope 'now we go back to trump', did the same quarter hour scroll forwad a couple more times then gave up. Isn't LBC News for that stuff ? One upside it was clearly driving Trump haters mad from what Ian was sayin
 
I really can't stand the way Trump talks in his "We're all in this together" spiel. He despises his fanbase. They will believe anything coming out of his mouth and going through his bleedin' ear. Loopy Liz Truss is trying to muscle in but she probably wouldn't be trusted to make the tea.

There's probably going to be wall to wall Biden replacement this week. Also the Tory leadership brawl.

I totally agree. He has a huge ego. I struggle because overall I do think he is one of the more balanced presenters and does usually try to see both sides of something. At some point though he always tends to take things personally and has such a thin skin that he loses his temper. I find his worship and namedropping of Thatcher hard to take as well.

As for hitting the dogging sites I'm not so sure. He's implied loads of times that "at his age" that kind of activity no longer happens, and I know he says he and his partner have seperate rooms. I sometimes wonder if he is so hung up on smut and his past sexual expolits because he isn't getting any anymore. He isn't even that old so that's a bit sad. Either way, I'd really rather not know!

I'm finding something about him "auditioning" new female presenters for his For the Many podcast a bit sad to listen to. None of the ones so far have exactly been bad, however there has been a hint of desperation and "pick me" about them. Something else to bolster his ego I guess.

I think it would be better to have a rolling “cast”. Different labour or Lib Dem guest every week, not necessarily female. I don’t need to see relationships being built and him trying to push them into knob/tit jokes. The whole thing’s been stale for years.

I've noticed before that his female guests, whether on podcasts or his show, are nearly always Labour.
