I'm sure she'll be laying into the Tory leadeship scrap which sounds like Uncle Tom Cobley and all throwing their posh hats into the ring.

I'll give it a go. A shame she's on all week but no doubt Jobby insisted on it as he had to cave in re Braverman. What a terrible blow to his inflated ego that must have been. I hope his therapist is coping and that he is paying him/her shedloads.
It's interesting that the full week of cover is going to Vorderman and not Vanessa. I guess she is a better fit with JOB's audience who will still be in recovery after the shell shock of shock jock Suella taking temporary control of the airwaves! My money would be on Vanessa as Shelagh's cover.

Like all corporate media companies, they need 'A NAME'. Just like publishing ... you cannot for a second convince me that Richard Madeley, Richard Osman, and Lorraine Kelly are decent authors. Forget sales-figures or ratings, if my dog had the backing of a massive corporate PR machine and was on national tv/radio she could have a best-selling book ... probably about poo-bags and Kibbles or something. 😬

Tony....now SIR Tony Blair...
"Hi I'm Mel Stride and I'm running to be leader of the Conservative Party...join me with Nick this morning"
Is Ferrari this guy's agent?

Iain Dale is having his gall bladder removed, Simon Marks to stand in, I often enjoy his reports from the USA, Marks appears on other radio outlets too, WorldService etc, wonder how he'll get on doing a full show.

Iain Dale
@IainDale

UPDATE: Firstly, thanks for all the good wishes. I went to A&E last night at 9pm with acute pain on the right hand side of my vhest. I am now in intensive care awaiting an operation to remove my gall bladder. Not ideal. In fact, it’s a nightmare. NHS care at Tunbridge Wells hospital is so far outstanding.

Iain is such an attention seeker. Sorry he's ill, but he did that thing of just posting a picture at first showing that he was in a&e but not saying why. Lots of gushing comments then hoping he is ok. Honestly whenever I've had the misfortune to be in that position I think that's been the very last thing on my mind.
Still, I do hope he recovers soon and starts to look after his health a bit more. I think he does try but clearly struggles. Working a bit bit less would probably help him.

Carol's been trolling everyone, got herself noticed in the past year grandstanding on social media, this got her back on tv & a now a slot on yet another shite cookery show.
It beats doing SunLife pension plan adverts I guess....

The public's honeymoon with Labour hasn't lasted long. She's going to have to find a new 'cause' to keep her profile in the spotlight.

Annie from Carnforth is up there as one of the most boring callers ever.

I wish people would make their minds up about pensioners. Are they all loaded with more money than they know what to do with or on the breadline and they can't pay for heating and food?? A different day, a different narrative.

As I kept pointing out the Labour "client journalists" ( h/t JoB) were always going to be finished by a Labour victory.

Whoever booked Vorders for this week either did not realise this or thought that her crashing and burning would make good radio,

That is the trouble with having plastic views.......
