She's probably got extensive and varied life and work experience unlike James who has lived in a broadcasting bubble his whole adult life.

He's 52. He first appeared on LBC in 2002 and got a full time show in 2004. That's 20/22 years with LBC. He's been there since he was 30. So, take into account school/Uni he's been in the real world for about 8 years and most of that was as showbiz gossip columnist.

Come on, I think he worked in a restaurant for a month and a building site for 3 days, untill he stubbed his toe on the scaffolding. In the world of inflated CV's that's tantamount to being an expert on the service industry and building trade.

He and Kate Silverton were daily panellists on the first year of The Wright Stuff in 2000. Then the show 's format was changed to have different guests on every day. He was still very bitter about it when he joined LBC and constantly dropped hints about how badly he'd been.treated, without actually naming the show or the host.

I remember quite a lot about Jobby's shows. Before they became so politicised; they were really entertaining. There was always a current affairs agenda - his coverage of the expenses scandal took up the whole show for several days and was must-listen, but it wasn't all politics. I think it was the approach of Brexit that tipped him over the edge.

How do I edit the above post? I can't get rid of the bit I accidentally posted.

Nick talking about the JSO protesters. No surprise he's in favour of locking them up. Ian, on the other hand, is outraged and went on and on about it. He even carried on into the last hour, getting into several arguments with callers., refusing to see it as more than a bit of disruption. I was so annoyed and disappointed with him that I switched him off! :(

It's so good you posted it twice!

I can't stand Kemi Badenoch though..Sorry.
Don't apologise for having and expressing a dissenting point of view. It makes discussion interesting. 🤗

Like most things on commercial media you're either for something or against something, there's not much room for moderate callers because it's boring. For what it's worth and it ain't worth much, I think a criminal record, suspended sentence, fine and community service is an adequate punishment. Maybe for very serious disruption like the M25 mob who seemed to show zero sign of contrition, 6 months in prison.

Remember that bloke 'Swampy' from back in the day ... I think he ended up on a big fat salary as a consultant or something for a big oil company. LOL ... I think a lot of these protesters just have too much time on their hands and just want something to do.

I'm enjoying every second of it, mainly due to the vicarious derangements it will be causing elsewhere

I listened to 10 minutes of her going on about why she can't understand migrants who want to travel across the channel from a perfectly safe country like France. Not exactly riveting ... more like some sort of stump speech to Reform voters. As you say ... quite amusing and good publicity for LBC.

I switched him (Ian Payne) off too after 5 minutes. as he was really annoying me too. His first caller he got really shirty with. I wonder if Ian has actually read the judges notes from the case.
