Driving for the last couple of hours, so doing plenty of channel hopping. First hour of JOB was about a Reform MP who'd done time, call after call about how could you feel safe going to see him etc. Wonder if he did an hour on any of the Labour MP's in court during the last Parliament

News broke that the Labour leader in Wales had resigned because he'd take a huge donation from an unrepentant criminal businessman. Corrupt to the core, 4 ministers resigned this morning. O'Brien's contribution was to read out the bloke's resignation statement, make no editorial comment and move on. Proper client journalism at its best.

Topic after 12 , 'eco distress'

I'm out

LBC are going to really struggle, especially James.

I listened too today. Reform bloke, Welsh leader resigning , Gareth Southgate and then teachers with long covid. All dull as dishwater. I did think if he's going back to covid he's struggling. It's awful for those involved but in all honesty, everyone has moved on is trying to forget it.

Is he still on Twitter? I saw Elon Musk give his full support to Donald 'I want to be a dictator' Trump the other day so it seems really bizarre for someone like O'Bingo to be a patron of his service. He may as well just get a show on GB News with Nigel and be done with it.

O'Brien lives on Twitter. He's got 1.2 million followers hanging on his every word. If you think he's giving that up anytime soon you're very much mistaken no matter who owns it. 🤣

James will reconcile it with himself that he uses it as a tool for work etc etc and most importantly of all, to make sure people see the truth.

These are my principles. If you don’t like them I have others.

A 'Long Covid Educators for Justice' representative was given a pat a cake 'interview' and said she'd be going straight back to bed for the day. Like you I have sympathy for those genuinely suffering, but I'd be curious at the previous absence record of the 200 teachers who claim their lives have been destroyed because the evil Tories kept a few schools open. Dare to venture an opinion that some people swing the lead and you get categorised as uncaring and nasty

Had this conversation in years gone by when certain ailments were in vogue. Used to ask if I went to Africa would I find tribes people staying in bed there complaining about ME or fibromyalgia . Answers there were none.

Hasn't the concept of"Long Covid" been questioned by eminent health professionals? James seems determined to resurrect the whole topic.I dislike it when he talks about the "poorly people". Having some degree of resilience to adversity is to be encouraged not scorned in my opinion.

Dr. O'Brien's next podcast guest Kate Garraway?

He's floundering already, said he's away next week, interesting to see whether they'll do a rota of MP's or just re-shuflle the same half a dozen presenters.

Must be a few out of work ex MPs desperate to put in a shift?

Jonathan Ashworth? I think he made a bit of a hash of it before though if I remember right?

Elizabeth Truss and Jacob RM would be a good comedy double act.

Where is Jobby off to? The Garden Shed? Just to keep things eco friendly.

John Nicholson will be chomping at the bit, so to speak.
The SNP's very own Frankie Howerd

Her face? It's the heat.
I think she should just let it all hang out now and age gracefully.

Carol is now set on styling herself as the People's MP. Buy your tickets now for her best-selling theatre and book tour coming to a venue near you. Special guest appearance from best-selling author and National Treasure James O'Brien.

When I see those pictures of her trussed up, I can't get out of my mind that she's like a big turkey you buy at christmas. Unwrap it and it just flops everywhere.

Start of JOB. No mention of Labour in Wales, he's got a new bogeyman in America to hate on.

I went on a rant in another thread about the UK media obsession with US Politics. It's like their Hollywood. Fine give it a bit of coverage, but it's too much. I much rather learn stuff about politics in Europe, even Africa before the USA. Again ... the failing broadcast media NEED Trump because he's an insane gameshow host. Maybe if they stopped going on about him people would lose interest. Ugh ... drives me potty. :ROFLMAO:

I'm almost sorry for all those political writers and broadcasters who've spent the last few years earning their living ranting about how the Tories should go and give Labour a chance. Well, they've got it but it's going to take a year or two before it makes much difference either way. In the meantime there's not much to discuss and argue about. How are the likes of Jobby or GB News going to hang on to their audience without topics that will whip them up into a foaming rage? It's what their popularity is based on.

Well things have moved on apace about the claims about Jimbo and what he had said about Trump on air.

Someone formerly of this parish has joined the fray.
