No one has a teenager who thinks they’re “bleeping brilliant”, they’re teenagers, even if they actually deep down quite like their parents there’s no way in hell they’re going to express it overtly. You know what teenager might tell their parent they are “bleeping brilliant”? The child of a narc who has learned that the best way to deal with their parent is through constant flattery and placation.
