Huw Edwards #16

There's almost zero chance of a custodial sentence. If one is given it'll be appealed.

There will be a lot of people screaming like hel about how it's proof that HE is "protected" or whatever, but in reality that isn't the case.

I actually think being free will be worse for him. He’d likely be with similar people in prison, or kept separately for his safety. Out here in the world everyone knows his face. There’s no where to hide.

Agreed. If he’s going to be living in London, he’ll have no life. Can’t go out without jeers and probably people spitting at him, etc. Serves him right. I wonder if he’ll retreat to somewhere in rural Wales??

With how expensive it is to actually keep people in jail, and how badly it works as a deterrent for crimes, I really am an advocate of it only being an option if the offender has a high chance of committing a new or repeat violent crime.

He's ruined his life. He's never going to be welcomed in public again, he'll constantly be known across the world as a disgusting pervert. He'll constantly look over his shoulder and live with the fear of vigilante hunters trying to 'serve justice' particularly if he doesn't get a prison sentence. And he'll have his electronic devices monitored for life.

As I don't see him being able to offend again, I don't see why the taxpayer should be keeping him housed in prison. I think he's a horrible, awful man and deserves to feel the full consequences of his actions... but I don't think prison is necessarily the only way.

This is very true. Unlike most purveyors of CSA Edwards is instantly recognisable, so he will never feel safe nor anonymous. People will have been excited to see him before this - now they will be disgusted. If we can't legally dispose of these people, I can think of no better punishment than this: to be scared, miserable and ashamed for the rest of his life.

there is mention of a Sun documentary to be share on YT in the coming days, Huw Edwards Unmasked.

the article explains how HE pestered the vulnerable lad for pictures knowing he would spend funds on drugs.

Ugh!
