i think it’s certainly heading for the axe. It’s become totally chaotic like Brookside did towards the end - they’re literally throwing everything at the wall hoping that a) something sticks and b) drum up some publicity.

the ratings are absolutely abysmal, I’m sure at one point they were clearing 1 million easily and now it’s down to around 100,000 - I know the way we watch TV has changed with OD etc but that’s really really bad.

This is what I thought too, it’s going the ways of brookside. It’s a shame because Hollyoaks has addressed so many topics that the mainstream soaps haven’t. They just drag out the ridiculous storylines and rush through the relevant ones

Quite gutted he’s being like this, Joe was a staple to our household growing up, I don’t understand why people never mind actors cannot adapt to changing times.

Neighbours is good at keeping their loyal following tho although people still complain about storylines! Neighbours is old school compared to hollyoaks and has a lot of older watchers

It's really annoying that the screenshots weren't taken before he deleted his account. Everyone is entitled to an opinion (not sure why Joe would have opinions so strong on things that don't affect him though). However, if he is promoting the taking away of transpeople's rights and stopping the progression of the trans rights movement, then that is wrong and shame on him. I completely disagree with his opinions BTW.

There seems to be a toxic environment at Hollyoaks, so many behind the scenes feuds that other soaps don't seem to have. I wonder if that's why actors tend not to stick around as long in Hollyoaks.

Sam the police officer is Dave’s son
Ethan is Dave’s brother
Serena is Honour’s daugher
Mason is Dave and Honour’s son
Lizzie is Dave’s stepdaughter so I guess he was with her mum before he met Honour
 
Someone said on here that neighbours have been getting more views than hollyoaks, and they’ve just been axed. Is this the beginning of the end for oaks? I don’t even know what’s going on anymore, I rely on here or the quick snips they do on Insta😂

Isn't that more to do with channel 5 funds it and they don't want to anymore. I honestly can't see how Hollyoaks can last much longer
