With all due respect, the word "steak" is a concept - it doesn't relate to any physical part of the animal's body that it's from. There's no part of a "steak" or "sausage" in an animals' anatomy - if you want things to be accurate, call things after the part of the animal's body it comes from.

Steak is but a concept of the shape of something - as is a burger, sausage, etc. The material doesn't matter. An aubergine steak is just as much a steak as a beefsteak - there's no steak in a cow's body, and there's no steak within an aubergine XD

If anything, the terms "steak", "ham", "burger" etc are euphemisms
yeh i know it is irrational, I don't mind anything else (burgers/sausages etc I eat lots of them myself) but steak just feels bizarre and also gives no indication to how the vegetables will be, that aubergine thing looked nice but I would think a more accurate description will be better. I know I am ridiculous

Completely random, but I stopped watching her a whole back just because I was busy, and didn't have as much time, but she used to make a really big deal of being allergic to dairy? About how badly it affected her etc., and then on the vlog I just watched (about drive-throughs and how fast they are), she's eating a mozzarella panini??? I'm more confused than anything else, is she not allergic to dairy anymore?

she explained recently that she figured out her dairy intolerance came about as a side effect to some antibiotics she had to have a few years back.

She said that she used the ‘milk ladder’ which the NHS use to treat babies with cows milk allergy. My daughter is currently going through that now and it takes a long time I don’t think Grace did it correctly to be honest because the first step is half a malted milk biscuit but she basically went from nothing to eating cheese etc which other than milk is the highest amount of dairy you can get, it seems to have worked for her though so fair play, would’ve been interesting to see a video on how she did it tbh

in my experience lactose intolerance/allergy can come and go, I was severely lactose intolerant for a couple of years and couldn;t eat it at all, after a while i started again and it was okay as long as i didn't eat too much but if i go for a period of eating it often like i did over xmas it gets worse again. Have never heard of this ladder thing I am going to look into it!

I don’t believe she did the milk ladder, or at least not properly.

She seemed to dig herself into a right hole with the whole situation, because she went from mentioning being dairy free in almost every video to suddenly being on camera eating things with dairy in and ignoring any comments about it which naturally led to more comments and people questioning whether she was allergic or intolerant or anything.

I get she can choose what to say/share and doesn’t owe her viewers health details - but it blew into a whole thing because it went from big deal to eating it while she didn’t address it and I think her milk ladder claims were to try and justify that?

ETA: I don’t think she was lying about the intolerance, and I think it just passed for her as it can, but she handled the situation really oddly.

I agree about the milk thing. The whole situation was very strange as she suddenly went to eating quite a lot of dairy compared to none so it was very noticeable. On a few videos she mentioned she would explain it but then never did. When she finally did address it and was so simple as the antibiotics caused a reaction and now she can eat dairy again, it was so straight forward there didn't need to be any secrecy to it...

I still don’t understand why if she has such a passion for baking she’s sidelining it for YouTube. I know most of her videos are food related but it’s not really the same as becoming a proper baker which seemed to be what she was going for. I kinda feel like she lost direction once she finished uni and the unfortunate timing of the pandemic has got her stuck in a rut. She seems way too accomplished and not enough of an airhead to make YouTube her life.
I’m surprised she doesn’t use her baking skills and YouTube skills to do a channel like ‘how to cook that’ showing you how to bake amazing things and explaining the processes behind it. I still like her though

I used to love her a few years ago before she started getting bigger but you can see she's pandering to her audience whilst pretending to still be old Grack.

My biggest issue with her that went unnoticed by her fans was she was meeting up with Honor (who is a whole 'nother subject!) and sitting next to each other, sharing food (including a milkshake with 1 straw) during our most severe lockdowns. She would post it on instagram or there'd be a snippet in a video and then it'd be removed.

I'm sure she is genuinely a nice person but she makes a lot of not great choices- especially when it comes to her using her platform.
Ooo what about honour? I’m intrigued

I agree. I’d love to see more of that on her main channel and the rest of those videos she usually does on extra Grack. I also hope that we can see elements of the content she posted in 2018/2019, I really enjoyed that content then.
