I agree her religiosity feels forced and solely for fisherman. It's bad enough she took up fishing (in her hooker coat and unzipped booties, no less) but trying to become the next Dugger sister is taking the cake. It's never too late for therapy!

Thinking about, I don’t remember her talking about liking music except maybe listening to classical while she was working at home on her Ali Baba jewelry business.

Her interest in music is very superficial i think. I remember one video she said that she didn't like a lot of music and SClub7 and Steps were her favorite groups, and then her talk of classical/opera but that was always very much "Carmen is my favorite Opera" and "I like Mozart" kind of thing. And I mean I don't understand not really being into music b/c I love music, but she clearly is one of those people who really doesn't seem that interested in music.

Her interesting in everything is superficial, apart from shopping which is the one thing she takes seriously. I don't think you need to have a deep interest in music or books or a particular hobby but she was always so basic and bland with everything. Like she would watch old episodes of Gossip Girl instead of something new. She always ate at the same restaurants in Vancouver; we never saw her try different cuisines. She vacationed in Hawaii every couple of months. It's a sad way to live... where's the curiosity and the joy of exploring new things? I'd be so bored if I did the same things year after year!
 
I agree, her only genuine interest was shopping. Literally, consumerism. She wasn’t excited about getting a good deal/discount or saving money on something, and she definitely was not interested in *fashion* itself. That was evident in her selections. Not interested in art. Not interested in music, otherwise we would have heard her “wax lyrical” about her favorites or at least heard some interesting background music in her vlogs. IIRC the most we ever heard was classical waiting room/elevator music… along with her Ellemas theme song lol!
 
If she wasn’t so busy trapping guys, she really could have made YouTube work for her. I remember she had a few sponsorships, I think even during Covid she had one. It’s such easy money but she can’t be bothered. She finally got her wish of a husband and child and everything else went out the window.

See, I don't think she was ever polished enough for that. Her robot resets and strange mannerisms (walking like a drunk Frankenstein in her outfit videos or making a video on bathrobes to work from home in) always made her stand out awkwardly. I look at the TikTokers doing similar content (day in the life of a corporate lawyer, outfit ideas for work) and they are so chill and conversational. Then we've got Elle who was always slightly strange and Uncanny Valley-ish.

Elle probably loved Melania's "memoir" - she wrote a lot about being resilient and overcoming adversity! Both her and Elle are out of touch, deluded, swept up in their own grandeur, and exotic Europeans 😂😂😂

it definitely depends on the state, in some you can only see if somebody is registered to vote and in others you can see their record if you just know their name and date of birth. And the county they live in only asked for that. Somebody had posted their marriage certificate too, that was also accessible.

It's really surprising for Canadian how many states have open record laws. You can find their marriage certificate and you only have to know Elle's name, and then it gives you their full address and other personal information. There isn't really anything like that in Canada, thankfully - it's a bit creepy!

It is a bit creepy…and to take a hard right turn. Vlogmas is around the corner, will it be Instagram stories again this year? Or are we headed back to the full YouTube experience ?

She's over social media, and probably over the way her life turned out. The holidays are just salt in the wound... Elle sees The Dolls at fancy galas and luxe dinners while she's off to the farm for a fisherman Christmas. How tragic.
