I have extended family I haven’t seen all year. We usually like to get together in a big group for a bbq/meal at someone’s house or at a restaurant, because there’s obviously more than 6 of us we can’t. So no, for me things absolutely aren’t back to normal yet. This extension is such a kick in the teeth.

My son, his partner and my other 4 grandchildren live in Glasgow. I've not seen him or them in two years now. We are waiting for a time when all of us (his sister and my other three grandchildren) can all be together.

Can you stop minimising other people’s feelings. No one is having a ‘meltdown’.

It’s a shit situation. If you’re ok with this then fine but that doesn’t give you the right to put others down.

i didn’t mean it that way I’m sorry. Maybe my original post came from frustration I probably could have worded it better. Maybe I am naive maybe I’m stupid? It was just my initial reaction to reading a lot of silly tweets.

I think it’s clear from this thread that my reaction is too simplistic. I am a bit of an idiot to be fair.

You’re not an idiot! I think I am though, lol. Honestly tensions are running high at the moment, I blame our government and their incompetence and not leading by example. It’s a tough situation right now for everyone and everyone has a different perspective. Sorry if you felt attacked by me at any point, I know I can get a bit passionate about things sometimes.

If the pandemic has taught me anything it's to stay away from twitter and facebook 🤣

not at all I think the replies actually made me think a little deeper about the whole thing. I certainly didn’t mean to cause any upset it was a bit of a vent post that wasn’t well thought out clearly 😂

If the children are under 12 you would be allowed to meet in Scotland as under 12's don't count towards the total people number. So as long as the number of households was three or less and there are no more than 6 over the age of 12 then you would be allowed to meet indoors.

Apparently ASOS did not get the memo 😬😂

We are over that number. We live near London and will normally meet somewhere in the middle saving a long journey for the smaller children.
