I’m hoping Madonna is cancelled next - she’s got to be an abuser/n too , with her 40+ year age gap relationships. And we know she’s a wrong un because she gaslights women into thinking they enjoy different types of sex when really they just want shoes 😉

Yes! This.

They've decided not to press charges or they don't have enough evidence to go forward or the witness is too unreliable / unstable.
That doesn't make HE 'innocent'.
If you don't think this is how the police operate, then ask anyone who's been a victim of crime and see if the police pressed any charges against their abuser / burglar / shoplifter etc.. no, they didn't. Cos they don't these days.

Basically the mum of the first “victim” has gone against their child’s wishes and sold a story to the scum, the police have confirmed nothing illegal has taken place (IE that first report was bollocks and HE did not buy images from someone under 18), as has the “victim”. Now a man known to have MH issues is having MH issues due to it. It’s been a witch-hunt, the sun are disgusting. Nobody knows HE’s agreement with his wife and the fact she’s come out (ironic choice of words) saying he’s unwell but confirming it’s him shows some level of solidarity. I’m gonna step out of this now as it feels gross. Homophobia runs very clearly through a lot of posts here (and elsewhere). If the police confirm criminality I’ll take my words back but this isn’t a public issue IMO.

Yes, Schofields story was talked about on here for a loooooong time! This one has snowballed so fast, and more unexpected with him being a respected journalist and presenter. Feel for his family.

Imagine it. All of your colleagues (no doubt many of them who are friends) have heard the rumours, some even have to allude to the story live on air during news broadcasts. Some workmates will be laughing at you. People in the street will snigger and more uncouth members of the public will shout names at you. Let's not forget the N word (which is a bit of a leap as there's no evidence - so far, at least). Pictures of your arse (or Photoshopped ones?) are distributed with wild abandon day after day.

I know I'd be bleeping depressed and want to hide under a duvet for a few years, so, seeing as he has previous shaky psychological health, I'd say it's probably true.

I think the press would be wise to give him a wide berth until he recovers.

I agree with this but let's say again many people have serious episodes of clinical depression but manage to not do the things he has done. The press should give it a reprieve but imo depression does not negate personal responsibility. If he had mania/pyschosis sure but it would have been found out a lot earlier.

We were on Tattle about Schofield for best part of three years. You know how manic these threads have been over last few days ? It was like that latterly when he left TM. I’ve still to read two threads, I just couldn’t keep up! My house was a bloody mess by the end, could barely find the hoover 😆
 
I feel sorry for everyone involved in the story (apart from the Sun journalists and George Osborne’s strategy team who I still had something to do with the timing of this story).

I feel for Huw’s family being dragged thro the mud.

For the young man who has his personal life and habits made national

I also feel for his mum who I still think made an error of judgement, the relationship with her son has been damaged

I feel for BBC workers being both accused and also put under pressure

I also feel for Huw, he fucked up but doesn’t deserve this, there’s no doubt he’s in a bad place

The only people who have profited are the journalists with hits on their websites, the people behind the defund the BBC and Mr and Mrs Osborne who are no doubt getting up to their usual antics on honeymoon

Please believe me when I say this - HE will be overseas in a high end luxury facility aka 'therapeutic community' / 'treatment centre' that is way over and beyond anything the average person can even begin to imagine (the priory is not even anywhere near that category).

the lad was intimidated into retracting everything .....and dirty pics from 3 years ago are easy to delete - how many different mobiles and numbers did they have in the last 3 years .....Huw is a jornalist - they often have several phones
