Well, this story took an unexpected turn. Good for his wife to take control and protect their family (and Huw, I'm sure).

The status of their marriage or what they did or didn't know doesn't really matter, nobody's business but theirs.

I'm a bit leery about pointing the finger and saying "how convenient!" that there have been serious mental health issues happening which requires his hospitalisation, because anyone who suffers with MH will know that they often meet the same judgement: ("you look fine to me", "you're just lazy", "it's all in your head"...)

Imagine it. All of your colleagues (no doubt many of them who are friends) have heard the rumours, some even have to allude to the story live on air during news broadcasts. Some workmates will be laughing at you. People in the street will snigger and more uncouth members of the public will shout names at you. Let's not forget the N word (which is a bit of a leap as there's no evidence - so far, at least). Pictures of your arse (or Photoshopped ones?) are distributed with wild abandon day after day.

I know I'd be bleeping depressed and want to hide under a duvet for a few years, so, seeing as he has previous shaky psychological health, I'd say it's probably true.

I think the press would be wise to give him a wide berth until he recovers.

have they said now if it was towards his colleagues or just that colleagues had made allegations? Because if he was allegedly taking and receiving photos while at work, it could be that someone’s reported him for his general conduct rather than a specific advance/ inappropriate approach to a colleague. Not saying it makes it any less serious

The person probably wasn’t under 18. The BBC and the police have already said that the initial complaints did not suggest criminality.

The implication I get from the above is that the Sun suggested to her that maybe he was 17, so they could print the story.

If this is the case I hope she comes out and says so as her family are also victims of all this.

I don't have first hand knowledge of The Priory itself, but I have been an NHS patient in a private psychiatric hospital whilst waiting for an NHS bed. I'm not saying that private hospitals are like fancy spas (though they're significantly better than NHS hospitals). I'm just saying that treatment there is much more accessible.

Yes. Looks that way. PS and now HE. At least they're being toppled nowadays, I suppose, at the end of their working lives when they don't have much left to lose anyway but they're still disgraced.

I still think the Philth threads were more active than these, purely because a lot of people came to Tattle because of Phil’s philandering so a lot of people were waiting in the wings anticipating his comeuppance so when it all finally came out about the affair, it felt like the momentum gained over three years had finally paid off and by god the pay off was worth it.

police don’t clear people of illegality. they didn’t have enough evidence to progress the case.
Not surprisingly when the drug addicted young, vulnerable adult at the heart of it had been contacted by Huw and probably is dependent on the cash flow to fund said addiction.
