Yeah. The threads took a bit of a turn since it was announced who it was. My comfort tattlers (who I won’t name but they are ones who I have either acknowledged as agreeing with or those from the Nicola Bulley thread, weirdly) have gone a bit quiet because they are probably feeling the same as me. And I feel a bit angry/frustrated at the direction the threads have gone.

Not that I only want to acknowledge those I agree with, but I do feel quite strongly about mental health and some of the content in this thread and the one before have made me quite uncomfortable.

A guy I went to sixth form with is estranged from his mother because she told everyone where we lived that one of our teachers was grooming him when in fact the teacher was helping prepare for his LSAT. And she was one of those stereotypical mums from a council estate who had never worked for all the time I knew him (from nursery) and didn't support or understand his aspirations to study law at Oxford which he has done and now works in London, but he's never forgiven her because the teacher was investigated and suspended while it happened, found to have done nothing wrong. But the damage was done and they quit after working at our sixth form for like 10 years. She was in the local paper and everything with her accusations and she loved the attention it brought her locally.

You might want to educate yourself further then, they are a child.

And meanwhile, back in the real world, the young man in the centre of this is just left to get on with it, in the midst of a shattered and broken family with his mother still having to cope with a drug addicted son. Still, at least the lawyers managed to get him to shut up.

I have no sympathy for those who exploit others. Young people are not the playthings of old rich men who can just discard them when the going gets tough.

The tone of the threads have shifted so quickly, I don't even think there was this much anger when the allegations concerning other young people were made

He messaged my good looking, straight, 30 year old (male) mate on IG. Nothing sexual just quite chatty, asking to meet up. Mate thought it was weird but didn't clock anything re. potential dating or anything.
 
F sake!!! I've been trying to get on here for bloody hours. Damn babies 🙃

Listened to BBC 5 live for the last half hour or so. Only radio station properly discussing it. GB were talking about bloody killer whales 🙄 assume because the mental health comment in the wife's statement, everyone's backed off. Anyway, off to catch up!

It looks like he’s done morally dodgy things but plenty of other people have done this same old tit (look at OF, it’s a business model for men who want dirty pics) and it’s only because HE is a newsreader that this is even getting the light of day.
