Legally a child is up to aged 18. If you think a child is up to the age of 12 then I sincerely hope you don't work with children or in any role that involves child safeguarding.
I’m a teacher in a secondary school 👍🏼 believe me I know what the legal age of a child is up to. I also know the difference between a child and a teen ffs which is the point I was trying to make!! A 17 year old is not the same in terms of being a child as a 5 year old. Christ.

Exactly. I am not a woke snowflake because I think a newsreader is entitled to a legal, sexual, private life outside of work. I suggest the ones becoming hysterical over it are the snowflakes!

GTF with woke snowflake chat by the way.

It's legit media coined terms that only boomers use.

It's embarrassing.

Being "woke" is a term that has been stolen from the black community. The media took it, white washed it and use it as fodder for anyone who complains about inequalities that "didn't do them any harm in their day..."

Snowflake is the dumbest term ever.

What's a snowflake?
Snowflakes are incredibly efficient and no two are alike. Snow and ice contributes to the majority of the fresh water so without it, we would all be fucked.

Why are people who use that term so dismissive of others?

Calling someone a snowflake is just projection, usually from someone who isn't willing to put themselves in anyone else's shoes and overreacts to anyone's viewpoint which differs from their own.

Stop projecting, thanks.

At the end of the day, if Huw has issues surrounding his Sexuality, and we don’t know that yet, sending pics and messages as a high profile member of the BBC , is asking for this trouble, he should have sat down with his wife , told her he has feelings for males , discussed of that was ok in the marriage, and got to grips with it in a better way than this.
obviously we don’t know but perhaps his wife knew all about it and it was some kind of accepted arrangement

"I’m a teacher in a secondary school 👍🏼 believe me I know what the legal age of a child is up to" - sure jan

…………. that isn’t how mental health issues work.

some of the stuff i’m reading about MH here is genuinely shocking, not even in relation to HE.
Because I know from vast personal experience that's where the rich, famous, and well insured go for this type of 'issue'.

If you think for one minute he's holed up somewhere in the crappy british weather location with a bunch of povvos half of whom have been state funded (yes the state funds people to go to private mental hospitals and rehabs) think again. He's somewhere lovely, absolutely guaranteed and out of the UK for his own personal safety would be the justification to his insurance company if he's paying on healthcare insurance or if the BBC are paying (which they may be). The types of places are out of this world.
He won't he allowed to leave the country as there's more police enquiries happening tonight

You prove it an then come back. So many people on this thread right from the off have had no idea how the BBC works, how the police work, how the law works, and now how treatment for rich people works. It's OK you don't have to but you can't argue about stuff you don't understand. I literally don't care where he is and would rather think he is in a crappy UK facility but if I was a betting person, I'd say 75% he's in a South African luxury place. (dunno why but that's where people with money go for 'this' type of issue by which I mean the consequences of impulsive / compulsive sexual behaviour or relating struggles and also underlying emotional problems)

he was probably liking tweets whilst sat on an aeroplane.
You’re literally arguing based on nothing and you don’t know what I know works thanks!

Depends on how you define 'ruined' but if you mean everyone involved now knows at least a semblance of the truth and can act accordingly and go forward without living in a total farcical charade, then yes.

for every person who is worried about a man having his life ruined because of allegations against him…

there’s a man out there rebuilding a life and continuing his career while the collective public wilfully ignores his past. From Chris Brown to the Ulster Rugby lot.

their lives are never ruined. They really don’t need your concern, trust me
