Your tips on how to look more Groomed, Glamorous or Polished #13

So I got totally influenced by this thread again and bought the L’Oréal Magic BB cream and oooh it’s lovely for every day wear to just take that look of death warned up off my face.
Was a bit disconcerting when it came out white but I went with the medium light which is a perfect match, I would say go a shade down if you’re unsure, I’m outdoors a lot so always have a bit of colour on my face but would have looked tangoed if I’d gone for the medium.
I use medium light in winter and medium in summer.
It’s not much darker, just a tiny bit warmer.

for the lover of the L'Oréaö Magic BB cream - any insight into olive undertones? I'm light skinned but with a slight olive tinge to it - would the colour range support that?

I'm not sure I'm afraid - I am very fair and the "light" blends in really well for me, perhaps the darker shade option would match better.

Anyone else with an olivey tone able to chip in?...

I’m another L’Oréal BB buyer influenced by randomly coming across this thread 😂

I have a similar skin tone to you by the sounds of it and I went for medium light. Medium light looked darker than medium, strangely. But I tried them both and medium light was definitely more suitable.

Is anyone familiar with the Trinny brand. What’s the the best L’Oreal colour to match her BFF light/medium? I have to order online to where i live so can’t go and try testers 🙏

Thank you so much, I’ll have a look at Medium light next time I’m in the drugstore!

Trinny is listed here if you know your colour match in any other foundation

Right all you glamour pusses, I need some help!

After using it for 20+ years and having quite the stash, it appears the bastards at Aveda have discontinued their Brilliant shine spray. I'm now on my last bottle 😭

Can anyone recommend a decent replacement please?
I never used the Aveda one but I have a Lee Stafford one that's nice.

Looking to buy my mum some makeup for Christmas, any good makeup products for woman in her 60’s?
Charlotte Tilbury, Trinny London, Bobbi Brown, bare minerals, Liza Eldridge all come in more "classic" type colours and styling/packaging which likely appeal more to older users. Or the department store pricey classics Chanel, Estée Lauder, lancome.
But probably no reason for any brand to be for a particular age of it suits colouring/skin type. I say this as someone in their 50s!

What are everyone’s office or work bag beauty essentials. I like having some things left at my desk like a lip balm and hand cream. Anything you find handy that I might be forgetting?

I hot desk so don't have a desk to store stuff on but I always have tissues, hand sanitiser, gum, pain, lip balm, indigestion tablets, hand cream and sunscreen stick in my work bag. Depending on my makeup that day I might also have a lipstick/gloss and face powder.
