I said it in a previous post but imagine how LA or NY people feel considering so many series/films are set there.

The locations in You doesn't have to be geographically correct because even if it is filmed at Royal Holloway, 'Darcy College' where he supposedly got a job as a professor in, is a fictional uni and is located across town from wherever he lives lol.

Why did the police need to have RP accents too? It could be worse, they could have Dick Van Dyke cockney accents.

Thought about the whole thing some more:

Part of what makes the whole thing kind of weird is the existence of Nadia. Her function is essentially that of a Greek choir that has to explain the story - namely that now Joe is being stalked and needs to solve a murder mystery - to the viewers. It shouldn't be necessary, yet here we are. So unless there's a much deeper function in Nadia's character, she was essentially brought in to explain a story that doesn't flow very well on its own or that left people to question what they were actually watching. As in, they were watching a story of a stalker before, who was breaking the third wall by explaining his thoughts to the viewer. That's what carried large parts of the earlier seasons, it is what made it creepy and slightly triggering, but also what kept you watching. Now we need Nadia to explain the story to Joe, which doesn't make that much sense.

Nadia follows the pattern of someone he has to help. Paco in season 1 then Ellie.

In the flashbacks I also remember they showed his mother with another child after he got sent into foster care. Thought they would have mentioned that.

Been reading about the lack of sex scenes was down to Penn wanting to stay faithful to his marriage... I'm probably going to sound like a dirty witch here but I did notice it was incredibly less raunchy than past seasons.

I didn't hate it but I didn't enjoy it and though that's not the reason (I promise 😉) I can't put my finger on why...

I'll still watch the others though!

They did go CRAZY in season 3. The group sex with the neighbours! Even I was shocked by that lol.

I'm watching Red Rose on Netflix now fingers crossed it will be good! Dark + the AO were the only other really good shows I've seen.

Yeah but it fitted in with his whole "Joeness" haha. Then he's now practically celibate and not going stalker boy on Kate... Hmm 😂 I really need to look into why I'm disappointed about that 🙈

That mirror scene 😅😅😅

That mirror scene 😅😅😅

I'm on episode 3.

Watching it alone. Feeling scared with the creaking floorboards and I said the red rose thing too with Roch. :ROFLMAO:

Well, hello there @ThisishowIlivenow. Who are you? Based on your vibe, a student. Your blouse is loose. You're not here to be ogled, but those bracelets, they jangle. You like a little attention. Okay, I bite. You search the books. Uh, fiction. F through K Now, hmm, you're not the standard insecure nymph hunting for Faulkner you'll never finish. Too sun-kissed for Stephen King. Who will you buy? 🤭

I might have missed it cos I found it so boring but how did the actual murderer know that Joe would be on board? Does he knows joes past? I can’t even remember the guys name tbh

Ooohhhhh *shivers*! 🥵

I assumed it was. Or like when he imagined Becks.
Aw I hope not! Really didn’t enjoy the first part if I’m honest so was hoping for a bit of a plot twist.

thing is they’ve teased love coming back so much - they can see the reaction from Twitter.. bit harsh if in the end it’s just a flashback no?

Reactions: emm
Victoria previously said she wasn't coming back and her imdb doesn't have her listed for the 2nd part of the episodes so I'm thinking hallucination? Maybe stock footage? I don't know.

Way to keep us dangling though huh.

Am I the only one who wouldn’t be mad if Love didn’t come back? I thought her character was great, but I don’t think she is what this series is missing at all - I think it just needs less cheesiness and stereotypes of what people/living in London is like. I have made me peace with Love not coming back haha

I actually really enjoyed the first part of the season BUT they did overdo the characters. It was really more caricatures of wealthy Brits which distracted. The previous seasons the characters were written much better
