Womanhood and injustices against women #2

1
Women are being literally silenced the world over.

The Taliban are doing this because they can. Many more men would do it to many more women if they could. As it is, here in the west, there are only some subjects we aren't allowed to talk about. At the moment.

Yes, and you can guarantee there will be some tedious bleep going ‘hur hur hur I wish someone would ban the Mrs from talking to her mother’ like it’s some big joke.

I wish there was some sort of gas they could drop over Afghanistan that rendered all men infertile so the fuckers all died out.
Except the women would be blamed for the infertility somehow, and publicly stoned for upsetting God, or cursing the menfolk, or speaking quietly in secret, or even putting contraceptive chemicals into the water or something. We women are witches and can do things like that just by wanting to.
---
Also impotent so they can no longer rape
Women would DEFINITLEY be blamed for the impotence!

It almost makes me a bit nervous when we refer to the likes of Gisèle Pelicot as being brave/courageous etc because by implication, it means that we think those who don't report sexual assault or choose to remain anonymous are somehow cowardly.

Personally I’ve never thought of it that way. I think most of us understand the high cost of reporting an assault: of not being believed, his word against yours, how unlikely it is that it would lead to a conviction, being eviscerated in court (on the vanishingly rare occasions it ever gets that far…)

What Gisèle Pelicot represents to me is a woman standing up for all women, really shining a light on the depravity of ordinary men. This case has always felt bigger than the horrific plight of one woman to me.

Has anyone seen the programme Curfew on Paramount Plus?
It’s a crime drama where men are electronically tagged and have to stay indoors after 7pm. If only we were only at risk at night…
I watched the series and really enjoyed it. I thought it was such an interesting concept.

I think the message behind the entire thing was exactly what you said - even with a curfew in place, it doesn’t stop women from being harmed. The views/violence is still there, it grows in other ways and online influence is very prevalent still. I think the series itself was basically trying to get across that this is not something that a curfew would prevent, it has to be something to stop these views/thoughts being allowed to grow right from the get go…sadly, even with all the will in the world, this feels like an impossibility in the world we currently live in

Hopefully this injustice, when a MAN was approved to use violence against women, will be rectified...but I won't hold my breath!

"Algerian Boxer Imane Khelif Has XY Chromosomes And “Testicles” : French-Algerian Medical Report Admits"

But he FEELS like a woman, so his chromosomes must be put to one side and he must be allowed to carry on punching women in case his feelings get hurt. 🙄

I don’t think Khelif is cheating on the grounds of feeling like a woman. He knows full well he isn’t female. He may have been assigned female at birth and raised as a girl, but he’s known for a long time that he has a medical condition and is male.

Just like Caster Semenya before him, he has been only too happy to exploit his lack of diagnosis at birth (it would have been diagnosed in Western nations IMO) for fame and fortune. But there’s no way he feels like a woman. If he did he’d be wearing a hijab and refusing to climb onto the shoulders of men.

Oh I know, I was being sarcastic. Aren’t we always being told that “feelings” are enough proof?
It may sound heartless but I don’t care what he was assigned at birth. He’s now a grown man, he’s knows full well exactly what he is and he’s chosen to exploit his status to punch women.

Who put him in the female category then? if he knows he isn't female and doesn't feel like a woman did a boxing promoter in Algeria notice he has a micro penis and just suggest it?

That’s the million dollar question. I really don’t know. But it’ll be the same path these three also took to the world stage, and crooked coaches and sporting committees will be in on it too.

Wanted to share something that happened to me… Long post, sorry!

I was getting dressed for work the other day and saw someone watching me from the footpath behind my house. I made eye contact with him stood there looking at him. Because of the angle/distance he just looked back at me - I think he was wondering if he had definitely been spotted. When it became clear that he had, he started pretending to look very intently at a crappy plant next to him. Then carried on down the footpath.

He then walked past our house so leaned out the window and took a load of photos of him. I also told him that I saw what kind of a man he was and I was going to report his perverted self to the police.

Filed an online police report, thought they’d do nothing but then got a call back within an hour from an amazing detective superintendent who works for a unit catching “pervs and p*dos” (his words!). It was set up in the wake of Wayne cousins. The view being that if they catch men like this guy, they can stop things from escalating. he was really empathetic, and good at his job saying things like “as a woman - i thinj you just know when someone is being dodgy”

I felt he took it really seriously and was going to write about it on here, as I felt it was a bit of a positive step forward for the police.

But then today I had a call from some local copper who started banging on about how I should “consider some blinds” (it’s a window 20cm square and you can only see in if you literally stand at a very specific angle - plus barely anyone uses the footpath). And that the guy in question may have just been a normal guy who got tempted. I mean WTF. I pushed back massively and said I wouldn’t accept that and that he was there for at least 30 seconds looking in. Possibly (probably) longer. But I could tell he thought I’d imagined it, was being “silly” or that it was perfectly acceptable to stop and have a look. He even said “if I found myself in that situation, and had a little look in, got tempted, I’m not sure I’d want the police coming round”. Course you bloody wouldn’t!!

Anyway - not sure what the point of my post is really, other than I’m just disappointed that my (brief) fantasy that the police were changing was pretty short lived. And I wish that c*nts like this particular Peeping Tom could be wiped out of existence

Why is a woman blamed for what a man does? Every. Single.Time.
Good on you reporting it, I know it's hassle but if every woman did the same they'd be forced to do something. Or maybe that's just me thinking men might take that step and realise that they're the problem.
❤️

Thank you @MaineCoonMama and I totally agree. Found myself bracing for the inevitable “have you thought about…” 🤯
And then was enraged when it came. Annoyingly I got followed near our house about a year ago and I felt like he was insinuating that I was a bit paranoid. Nope - just had enough of this tit and going to keep reporting!!

Men have no idea how it scary these situations are. It's well known that peeping Tom behaviour escalates, they should put the frighteners on these creeps.

I had a stalker when I was around 11/12. He was in the year below me at schooland started sitting across the street from my house with binoculars, following me to and from school. I dread to think how he turned out.
One of my brothers went out and threatened him after he'd ignored my mum asking him to leave and stop being weird.
