William and Kate #8

ummm Meghan herself is a smoker. There is a picture of her smoking on the internet. And Harry is a stoner. He himself has said he smokes bags full of weed. When they were in Canada just after they left royal family he was smoking weed according to himself. That story about him not smoking because of Meghan is just a tabloid story. Just like they said Meghan was a vegan. Which she is not. She eats meat and wears leather.

I was always confused about the vegan label when she said her favourite food is roast chicken, she takes it to other people’s houses when invited for dinner and was roasting a chicken the night harry proposed.

Meghan will label herself anything to get something out of it 🤣 Vegan was trendy, so she'll be vegan X days of the week now to be trendy! Ah, to be obsessed with fame... anyway this isn't the H&M thread...

I assume all Harry does these days is sit around doing drugs tbf. It's quite sad.

W&K getting quite a bit of flack in the press over the video…interesting to watch that play out.

That surprised me initially but thinking about it I think the press are warning them to not keep cutting them out. It’s why they’re so vile to H&M and make so much stuff up because they get nothing from them. Now we have WanK going the same way, it used to be that select RR members would be invited to do a little photo call and do a curated Q&A, instead we’ve got this OTT cinematic drama. I think the press are letting them know that they’ve been on side op to now but they don’t have to stay that way.

Completely agree! I think the media are putting them on notice.

Good to see William actually working today.

I don’t think the press is bad to Harry and Meghan, they kind of deserve it with their behavior and deserve to be called out on it. William and Kate also need to be called out on their issues.

They are essentially public servants and need to put up with their end of the social contract that all allows them to live in such luxury.

If I had cancer I'd be really pissed off with that ridiculous running round the woods video. It would have been more realistic to do a short video stating that she'd completed chemotherapy and thanking her medical team. Then maybe show her visiting cancer patients etc. I would like to hear her talk a little about her cancer experience and not just say its been tough.

Why would anyone be pissed off about a video of a woman celebrating that she completed chemo. Problem is then with you and not with her.

I have seen many videos of people who had/have cancer who where watching who said they did with tears in their eyes because everything she said and feels was what they were feeling. And they loved it. Of course you always have people who are negative. You can't please everyone.

But it's her journey. Her story. And she decides how she wants to tell it.

I'm sure those who had had successful and timely treatment would but sadly others may feel very differently and may object to the tone/slickness of the video and the lack of a clear message?

I agree I would have preferred the type of video you are describing but it appears many people liked what she did so... I can't remember exactly but I think she said something like 'I had an amazing medical team looking after me' so there was at least a nod of thanks to nurses/doctors. It made me chuckle when someone on here said they thought it was a Center Parcs advert though!

It's absolutely ridiculous these days. Nobody can do anything without someone having a problem with it. Can't win.
You can't win em all.

She can't win whatever she does. If she focuses too much on her medical team people will start complaining that she got a top private team and not NHS etc.

I don't think she should suddenly have to start being a top cancer campaigner either. Just because you go through something doesn't mean you necessarily want to focus your life and work around it in the future. Some people do and that's great for them, but some just want to put it firmly behind them. Chemo is chemo, cancer is cancer, she has clearly been seriously ill and I imagine they felt they came close to losing her at a point, she has obviously been through the ringer and if she wants to never talk about it again then that's a choice she is allowed to make. I think there is a pressure these days to be 100% open about your trauma or experience when that isn't what helps everybody

Would her being open and a key cancer campaigner be amazing and probably do a lot of good? Absolutely. Should she have to just because she's been through it? Absolutely not.

Agree she isn't obliged to focus her efforts on healthcare or cancer but it would be nice to see her do it. It might win her a few more fans too, as others have said she is a public servant.

I know people in real life undergoing rigorous chemo who weren't too keen and for them the outcome won't be so rosy. Isn't that up to them how they view it? I don't have a problem with it so long as that's what Kate wanted to do and she wasn't persuaded to do it.
