I've always assumed that Kate just wears the ring on public duty and not off duty - it's too valuable to wear for everyday and I'd imagine she's got a far more personal ring from William that she wears the rest of the time.
I read after Diana died harry and William chose what they wanted of her things and harry chose the ring with the intention of one day proposing to the woman he wanted to marry with it. When it was looking like William was going to propose to Catherine he backtracked and gave it to William with the intention the future queen should have it as his mother never made it to be queen. Ironically it looks like it still won’t sit upon the hand of a queen. Perhaps Catherine should pop it in the post to Meghan as a peace offering!
I loved both Meghans original trilogy ring and Catherine/dianas sapphire one. If Catherine’s had that ring for 15 years I’m not sure why she suddenly wants it changed now.
I am guessing obviously but I'd say she wore a replica of it for years. Imagine the worry of anything happening to it especially given the sentiment attached to it by William.Perhaps it is not practical to wear a ring like that every day.
This is what I always thought as well, that she had a replica she wore most of the time.I am guessing obviously but I'd say she wore a replica of it for years. Imagine the worry of anything happening to it especially given the sentiment attached to it by William.
Maybe she's not a jewellery person. She's been gifted a lot and wears it on special occasions, but otherwise she doesn't wear a lot.
Queen Elizabeth wasn't a fan of coloured nail varnish so clear and beige were OK, bright red wouldn't have been. She always has short nails too and I’ve never noticed her wear nail varnish or are they not allowed?!
The late Queen Elizabeth didn't like obvious nail polish; she wore Essy 'Ballet Slippers' herself. There's been a few sightings of brighter nails since. She always has short nails too and I’ve never noticed her wear nail varnish or are they not allowed?!

I get where you are coming from but I’d have put up with nude polish for the other perksI don’t think Charles cares very much. Sophie seems to be wearing nail polish. I love nail polish so if I were royal, I would’ve been pretty annoyed having to wear just plain old natural pink polish all the time.
