Everyone going vegan is not going to save the planet, it'll just cause a different set of problems. Being vegan is not healthy and most of the "plant based" foods are just processed junk food. People feeding young children a vegan diet should be done for child abuse, just like dog owners now can be.

Veganism has only taken off because the big food companies saw a new way to sell us processed junk and us think it's healthy.

OMG yes this!! Everyone I know who's turned vegan looked so much healthier pre-veganism.

COP 20 whatever,

is a 2 day pre Christmas party for world leaders.
It’s the pre-Christmas sleepover everyone’s been talking about 🤣

Do you feel the same about bottle feeding though? That if they can chew food they shouldn’t have a bottle of milk? Because milk is where most nutrients and calories come from and are vital for the first 12 months. Introducing solid food typically happens from around 6 months.

I find attitudes towards breastfeeding like yours contribute to the low uptake across the country - i volunteer as a peer supporter taking calls from mums up and down the country so I am always keen to understand where these attitudes come from as they can really knock a new mums confidence all for how they choose to feed their baby. I understand not everyone wants to breastfeed and that’s perfectly fine, I feel every mum and family should be supported with how they choose to feed, I just don’t understand why others find it offensive if someone breastfeeds. The primary function of a boob is to make milk.
I tried and failed miserably to breast feed and was made to feel like a failure and that I wasn't giving my baby the best food. I found many mums who could breast feed unbearably superior acting like they had a better bond, they were doing it right etc. I don't find breast feeding offensive, I find the attitudes offensive. I also believe that toddlers still breast feeding is weird, it's an unpopular opinion thread after all!

Im sorry you weren’t supported and felt like a failure, it sounds like you were failed (as opposed to you failed).

The Poppy has been hijacked by far right nationalists and it’s real meaning has been lost. I hate how anyone in the public eye who choses not to wear one is completely hounded about it.
You may be interesting in supporting the Peace Pledge Union's white poppy? It represents the victims of all wars, supports pacifism and not the glorification of the military and war.

I hate the idea (which comes up a lot in fan circles and discussion of media) that it is "misogynistic" to dislike female characters that exist mainly or solely as love interests / sex objects for men. It often ties in with homophobic ("portrayals of gay male relationships are bad because they don't include women") or sexist ("if we tell creators to stop casting women in these roles, they just won't include female characters at all") attitudes. I especially hate the idea that lesbian or bisexual fans should be interested in seeing every female character in love with a man because "you like women, right? At least these stories feature a woman." Yeah, doesn't mean I wanna watch / read it

I live in South London and when I’m in North London I think they’re much less friendly. They would probably say the same about us though I imagine!

A character makes a joke about this in the film One Night in Soho

Being vegan is primarily about animal welfare, which also correlates with being a better choice for the planet than the intense animal agriculture we see today. I wonder why you consider veganism by default "unhealthy"? As for the junk food, are vegan not allowed junk food from time to time? It doesn't discount the focus on animal welfare, but I agree that there are issues with packaging and certain companies who are usually boycotted by vegans trying to cash in on that "plant based" pound. As for veganism only taking off due to McDonalds selling whatever McPlant crap they have.... lol, that's a very unpopular opinion.

I gained a stone after going vegan so it definitely isn’t always healthier although I think people need to understand the difference between vegan and plant based. Chocolate and other crap, vegan friendly or not, will not help your weight. Vegan is more of a lifestyle and tends to be environmentally based, plant based is diet and can be for any number of reasons.

Exactly, you can be an athlete who is vegan or an unhealthy vegan, just like there are trim omnivores and those who aren't. The prime focus is on ethics, health and the environment being pluses. I just find the idea that people condemning veganism entirely because of how people "look" to be missing the point. Like ofcourse your health is going to suffer if you only eat fastfood vegan options or equally bananas and dates.

well I suppose to be fair, it’s easy to judge on looks. You might have a large person who has burger and chips getting judged for their diet where a skinny person who eats crap won’t because they don’t have the stereotypical look of an unhealthy person. Vegans are easy targets at the moment. Just wait until Veganuary 😂😂🤣 sure it’s just an opinion anyway, no harm done

If you give your child a name like Kayden, Cairo, Romeo, Princess etc I will automatically think you are chavvy scum
Also if you hyphen it with -Mae/ -Rose
Pure chav

Aurora-Mae’s ma put her crimbo decs up on the 4th of November.
