I feckin hated the whole Tom Moore movement. He walked around his garden....and? It wasn't him who raised the money, it was the public. And if people don't realise that a healthcare system needing donations is diabolical then they need to give their head a shake. It's nothing to be proud of.

Everyone going vegan is not going to save the planet, it'll just cause a different set of problems. Being vegan is not healthy and most of the "plant based" foods are just processed junk food. People feeding young children a vegan diet should be done for child abuse, just like dog owners now can be.

Veganism has only taken off because the big food companies saw a new way to sell us processed junk and us think it's healthy.

Someone made a post about maternity leave I agreed with - well its not I don't agree with maternity leave per se, but I do think the person should let the employer know if they plan on coming back in time rather than leave them hanging till the last minute - its not fair and could be denying someone else a job.
The fact that (where I work anyway) you gain holiday leave during maternity leave so end up having a few more weeks 'off'

It’s not really fair to exclude someone from being part of the community on the basis they aren’t fat enough though is it? If it’s about championing body positivity surely all bodies should have the same positivity. i think most people generally speaking have issues when buying clothes on the high street - for example a woman’s size 12 is different from shop to shop so they might be able to get size 12 jeans in marks and spencer but need size 16 jeans in new look.

According to the internet, “Body positivity is a social movement focused on the acceptance of all bodies, regardless of size, shape, skin tone, gender, and physical abilities, while challenging present-day beauty standards as an undesirable social construct” but in practice they only accept if you’re morbidly obese.

I agree I think it’s really toxic to try and promote that they are happy in their size, it must be really suffocating even walking up the stairs or doing day to day basic hygiene!

Nah the real origins of the movement was to highlight larger bodies, as theyre not socially accepted, to normalise them along with every other shape and size. It just became a bandwagon for slim women with love handles to contort themselves into mad shapes to force a belly roll or morbidly obese women to be fetishised and applauded.

Tho on sizing - its fucked! But there are so many people who cant even shop on the high street because theyre not catered for. Its that level of exclusion.

(This isnt me nit picking, it just caught my attention! X)
