The whole “body positivity” movement. It’s so beyond toxic it’s lethal. Obesity shouldn’t be glamourised and hidden under the guise of being body positive; I’m not suggesting obese people aren’t beautiful - beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. My gripe is the semi naked pics of morbidly obese people saying how just because they’re obese doesn’t mean they’re unhealthy 🥴 telling people who aren’t as fat as them that they can’t be part of the body positive community because they’re a normal shape and size and have no reason to feel insecure 🥴 sorry not sorry.

Socially accepted body shapes and sizes have no place within the body positivity movement - because their bodies are socially accepted. They are catered for in every way. Try being a tall fat woman with huge boobs, i cant even shop freely for clothes 🤣

That said though - being obese (not the little podgy overweight lot), actually obese is physically disgusting. It just is. I feel disgusted looking at myself and im not at that level. I do wonder just how happy & confident those really large women feel.. like.. if ya cant even wash yourself properly or reach round to wipe your arse, are you really happy in yourself?

Talking about parking spaces, there are way too many disabled parking spaces. I’ve never been to a shopping centre or large supermarket and they’ve all been full, they are usually barely used and it seems wrong to me when all the other spots including parent and child are so tight.
there, I’ve said it 🤭

It’s not really fair to exclude someone from being part of the community on the basis they aren’t fat enough though is it? If it’s about championing body positivity surely all bodies should have the same positivity. i think most people generally speaking have issues when buying clothes on the high street - for example a woman’s size 12 is different from shop to shop so they might be able to get size 12 jeans in marks and spencer but need size 16 jeans in new look.

According to the internet, “Body positivity is a social movement focused on the acceptance of all bodies, regardless of size, shape, skin tone, gender, and physical abilities, while challenging present-day beauty standards as an undesirable social construct” but in practice they only accept if you’re morbidly obese.

I agree I think it’s really toxic to try and promote that they are happy in their size, it must be really suffocating even walking up the stairs or doing day to day basic hygiene!

I hate the next door app, all it does is make me habitually check all my doors are locked.

Also as touched on earlier one woman saying her freezer broke..food spoilt..got no money..can't feed her kids. It is heartening to see people rallying round but then a few days later she's asking for recommendations for a company to buff her car/clean her windows/professional cake maker! Drive a scratched car, clean your own windows and bake your own fooking cake if money's that tight 😬
