I like Caroline O’Donoghue, enjoyed her latest book, but can I just say- it really bothers me that she, and to a lesser extent Dolly- constantly talks and posts about smoking like it’s a cool treat, like anyone who doesn’t agree just isn’t mischievous enough, or something. That she has complete control over it and only smokes socially, and clearly thinks it makes her look cool.

I dunno, I just think smoking is never not disgusting, and the way she talks about it is like a teenager in the 90s trying to be the mysterious cool girl in school.

I mean we all do this sometimes with alcohol, maybe I need to wind my neck in and get a life, I just roll my eyes when people talk about smoking that way and think how they must absolutely stink and have yellow teeth.

It's an odd mis-step these days, I think. The whole 'smoking is cool' thing was a thing when I was a teenager in the 80s myself, but that time has long been and gone for smoking. Attitudes have changed markedly in the last twenty years and particularly since the ban in public places. People aren't seen as acting cool or edgy despite the ban, either.
 
Sorry but Otegha is such a try-hard sometimes. It’s a boring black funeral dress you could’ve bought off the rack from Zara. Not sure it warranted being “couriered” to you from Net A Porter. She always turns her nose up at influencer culture when she's dying to be part of it.

The pair of them have a real 'well behaved women rarely make history!!!' vibe and it's kind of cringe
 
I like Caroline’s natural accent, but she has a habit of putting on an American accent if she’s talking to someone from North America, e.g. her podcast with Lauren Heisey, I’ve probably spelled her name wrong, she wrote Really Good, Actually.

I can’t stand Caroline! She irritates me so much. The cigarettes and cool girl thing, she just seems mean and smug. She also clearly thinks shes extremely hot and I personally do not see it her face is very aged for 32 🤷🏼‍♀️
