I don’t mind the sound of it 😆

Had zero interest in ghosts and it admittedly does sound v derivative but I found that extract entertaining and think there is plenty of interesting things to explore in the comedy scene. Especially as she used to date a stand up.

I wonder is the girl ends up doing a stand up show with her side of the story. Giving John robins and Sara Pascoe vibes (although she was the bigger stand up in their relationship at the time).

There are so many books written by men with female protagonists, I don’t have an issue with it.

Can you be a journalist and also accept paid brand partnerships? The two things to me seem mutually exclusive…
Yes. But she also doesn’t call herself a journalist anymore. I think they switched from ‘journalist’ to ‘writers’ towards the end of the high low.

Does dolly do spons? I don’t think I follow either of them on Insta anymore but I get the feeling dolly stays away from them?

I have zero interest in fashion but do enjoy good fashion journalism and kindof wish panda had stayed in that area and really tried to become THE fashion writer. I read ‘the dress code’ last year and it was interesting but I’d love a British version. I would love a deep dive into 90s and 00s fashion. I recall wearing a tiny crop top with something like ‘don’t touch what you can’t afford’ emblazoned on it as a flat chested 12 year old. The ‘kappa slappa’ era in the 90s pre ‘chav’ terminology etc. think is would be so interesting to pick through.
