Once you notice how tone-deaf and false she is, it's so hard to unsee. I've gone off her SO much this year.
 
I’m not sure if this is the right place for it but I can’t find a podcast thread on a quick search so here goes.

Off Air with Fi and Jane - anyone listen?

I listen at night when I’m drifting off to sleep but while I (mostly) enjoyed them on Fortunately, they have become very annoying on their new home.

Specifically, Fi is ALWAYS on holiday! How much is she being paid to be able to jump on a plane every five seconds?

I know this is petty but it really bugs me.

For someone who gets so up in arms when anyone dares not to manage her triggers around fertility and children, she is remarkably insensitive to what anyone else might be experiencing. Total narcissist.
 
It’s control. Setting up the AD - with I had something personal and hard happen and then I had to go back to work but had additional support through therapy and did some work on my self - is away to stop people calling her out.
Let’s not forget the champagne sponsored vip book launch at her favourite club in Mayfair with a loaned dress. It’s all look at my life but don’t you dare question me on my behaviour. And don’t talk about the thing I don’t have. Not fair on me

Yeah they’re all the same!! That’s what’s so cloying, can’t they use private education to expand their horizons?

What annoys me most is how they sort of pretend they're just like you and me but I look at their posts and think...ok that's all very nice but you went to private school and mummy and daddy pay your mortgage.

I'll be a bit careful not to give myself away and can't claim to know many of them well but yeah they're all unbearably posh and their lives all make a lot more sense when you realise they're often bankrolled by mummy and daddy. Most of those ex-The Pool LLs are genuinely nice people but just totally blinkered by their huge privileges. Daisy Buchanan is nice but awwwfully posh, Alice Vincent is a pretentious boor IMO.

“C” is hilarious but “M” even more so considering he apparently shuns all of social media except has his own Twitter account/blue tick.

Editors of magazines like Jo Elvin and Lorraine Candy always quit to freelance, i.e spout rubbish about themselves on Twitter all day 😆 I said upthread but I’d have more respect for these people if they had an actual staff job and did the Nora Ephron writing about themselves and the state of the world on the side rather than just sitting around all day composing carefully crafted ‘cool’ missives.

Oh PS btw I’m not suggesting freelancing isn’t a real job or less than a staff job in any way. Just the particular type this LL lot seem to do
