Sorry if this is TMI but I’ve been feeling quite constipated this week but only just coming out of my estimated fertile window (I don’t track ovulation), so presumably it would be too soon for pregnancy hormones to be causing constipation?!

if you don’t mind me asking, which brand did you use and which dosage? I’ve been thinking about trying this next if it doesn’t work out this cycle.
I took the Holland & Barrett Choline & Inositol 500mg mainly bcus I was too impatient to wait for some to arrive from the Internet! I still take them now as there's some evidence it can decrease the chances of gestational diabetes. Fingers crossed for you!

Probably a silly question but can you have too much sex while TTC? We’ve both been off work this week so doing it 2-4 times a day, I’m not in my fertile window yet but wondered if we need to back off a bit when I head towards that at the weekend.

Is there an ‘optimal’ amount for it to work?

2-4 times a day !!! Wow I’m tired just thinking about that 😂
I’ve read that higher frequency of sex can reduce the number of healthy sperm? So once a day would probably suffice 😅

Do you take inositol as well as or instead of folic acid? Currently taking the seven seas conception vitamins
I took both of these 😊

Is inositol suitable for anyone trying to conceive or more for those with PCOS?
For anyone I believe! Apparently it doesn't cause any harm whether your body needs it or not as it will have some benefits. Not an expert, just a googler🤣

How many grams of inositol should you take? There’s 50g in my pregnacare. Is that enough or should I be topping myself up more?

How did the inositol affect your cycles?

I'm scared to take any more supplements after a bad experience, it kinda served me right really because I was having regular cycles so there was nothing really to fix and it was only until I took some supplements that it suddenly threw things out of whack and I'm now having really irregular periods, I only realised a few days ago because I somehow didn't make the connection that it was them that might be causing it and I searched online and found that some other people had some bad reactions to them too like extremely long cycles and not ovulating.
It might not be but it does seem like a coincidence that its what I did differently.

Could it be a covid vaccine that has caused irregular cycles? I’ve read quite alot of women being out of sync after theirs.

Everyone is different of course!
I had regular cycles before taking inositol and it didn't change them. Im not sure if I was actually ovulating every cycle though. My friend who did conceive taking inositol did have irregular cycles after her covid vaccine. It went from a 3 day cycle to around 62 day cycles. Dr's said it was due to the vaccine and it would return back to her usual cycle but never did. This is the reason I chose not to get my covid vaccine whilst TTC.

So I did a bit of research into vitamins last night and realised I’m not taking near enough! But anyway inositol for over 35 it’s recommended to take 300mg. I’m not quite 35 yet but I think I’m going to start Proceive Max as it has 200mg so a good starting point.

*sorry I totally go that wrong it’s 3g (seems a lot!) recommend so even proceive is no where near. The My Protein one that was recommend has 750mg per serving

Oops I meant 50mg in my post. I’m 33 but think I’ll go nearer towards the 35’s dose it looks like I’m taking nowhere near enough and I’ll try anything at this stage 😂

Lol I read it as 50mg anyway.
Proceive max says it’s for over 35 or anyone trying longer than 12 months. It has a good handful of the essentials in it, quite pricey but H&B have it on offer buy one get one half price and I like that it’s sachets that you put into water as I don’t do well with pills.

Ooooh I’ll pop to H&B after work then so I get it while the deals on! Haha i’m the same I struggle with pills so this one sounds perfect

Got my first static smiley today – but the other half has come home from work early because he’s not feeling well! I'm so annoyed and he's annoyed at me that I'm more concerned about doing the deed tonight than I am about him feeling sick!

Feel like that’s ruled out this month now….we dtd on Monday, but hoped to do tonight, tomorrow and then Saturday too.

I hate all this 'fertile window' bull s**t – Its so frustrating! And I turn 40 this year so don’t have time to waste ☹

Oh i totally hear ya, my fella had covid 2 wks ago any was in bed for 3 days with it and all i thought to myself was thank God it's not during my fertile window!! It's so so frustrating when you miss your peak cos you can't dtd.
You still have tmrw and the next day though.
