There are older gymnasts though who still are quite good. Kim Bui from Germany is 32 and she reached her best place during the AA final! So there could be a chance for Simone to come back in 3 years

Yes but not in the US team. Simone is here because she’s just so good, unfortunately it won’t last long, she will not be selected like other nations would unless she pulls it out the bag at say the common wealth games next year? If she passes the trials

Not today. The 3m springboard semi-final (women’s) was on early but we didn’t have any athletes.

Sunisa Lee (USA) is a brilliant gymnast and I was rooting for her in the individual all-round. I hope she does well in the individual event(s). Her story is inspiring too.

Poor Dina. I know she wanted to talk but the BBC have done her dirty showing her breaking down and zooming in closer when she clearly wanted to have a moment to compose herself.

Simone has helped win international medals for the US since 2013 and she’s a champion many times over. She’s achieved far beyond the realm of many athletes.

People spreading hate and counting on her downfall after 2021 Tokyo could never achieve what she’s done (not aimed at you). Simone said she still goes to therapy to help her get over the abuse she and other athletes suffered.

She has said before that she may retire after Tokyo but has since moved that back to possibly Paris - even says so in the Olympics profile
It's not that surprising that people would think she may reconsider that again

same here!! those are my favourite events too, i don't know about diving but the mens and women individual gymnastics finals are tomorrow i think?
did you watch the womens all-around a few days back? i was SO happy with the results!

I honestly can't wait for the Olympics to be at a semi normal time

I fell asleep during the triathlon yesterday and a lot of the events I want to watch are in the middle of the night including rhythmic gymnastics
