Her reaction made me cry. I heard on the radio she had to crowd fund £50k to be able to get to Tokyo.

Yeh think her funding was dropped or withdrawn or something. She was amazing loved seeing how excited she was and how much it means to her. Kye cheering her on from the side was so lovely to see.
 
Normally I would be glued to the TV watching the Olympics, this time I’ve watched very little, don’t know why. What I will say, every time I’ve turned over to BBC there Clare and Alex, literally Clare has done all the talking and Alex just sits there smiling.

Maybe I’ll get into in when athletics starts and I like listening to Michael Johnson.

I agree Alex is a great presenter but seems to know nothing about what she is talking about and hasn’t done any homework.

I like Michael Johnson but would prefer someone team GB on the athletics - I see Eurosport have got Gregg Rutherford commentating.

Jessica Ennis Hill is lovely but has no charisma 🥴

I know Royal Mail don't do it any more, but hopefully someone in their towns has a handy pot of gold paint for their local postboxes (y)

I do like Michael Johnson's velvety Marks and Spencer type pudding voice, so smooth.
 
Is GB still leading in the triathlon? I saw the end of their cycling then changed to dressage. Falling asleep though so may watch a couple more (or try to😂)

3 more horses to go until our final rider and then I’m going to sleep. I’ve just had a cake binge because it was the only way I thought I could stay awake 😩

Very pleased for the triathlon team!

our last team rider just went and got 28.9% and in 10th individually and our team still in gold medal position at the moment. But we still have more riders to go in dressage and then XC and show jumping to go too. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I’m off to sleep 🥱 🛌

Japan have had an increase in cases and are being extremely strict on it. Apparently a poll on the morning of the games suggested that 55% of Japanese people didn’t even want it to go ahead.

Different area of the world, different rules, I guess.

We have 2 riders in the top 5 and as a team they are just ahead of Germany in gold medal position ahead of the cross country tonight. Eeeek. I will definitely be watching tonight!
