My Dad went from NED to terminal and actively dying 2 weeks later. No that’s not everyone’s reality but I just can’t fathom how she’s being so blasé about this considering what she was originally told about it being so bad she needed the most radical treatment there is, to nothing?!

I started following Lizzi England yesterday. She showed on her stories her notebook with all the questions written in it that she has for her doctors. For example she was going to ask if she has mutation X, because if she does then Y drug is available to treat cancer with this mutation. You could tell that she was very well informed about her disease and potential drugs available to treat it. But what hit me the most was in the end of her stories, she said that she saw way too many women who had stable scans and three - four weeks later they were dead and that's why she's doing what she can to be proactive about her treatment. I read that she recently basically forced a scan on her doctor, who wanted to wait till december and of course the scan showed progression. It all just shows that you must be proactive and fight for yourself. I'm afraid that this whole situation with Tiffany will end tragically.

Thing is, you really, really shouldn’t have to. In what other service in life do you do the job yourself? Because that’s what it is at the end of the day, a service WE pay for. Would you go to a bakers and expect to bake your own bread or a mechanic and fix your own car? It’s so incredibly wrong.
In perfect world we shouldn't have to.
But the reality proves otherwise unfortunately.

Not a perfect world, a fair, normal one. It should be the least we expect not the most.
Absolutely agree!! Tiffany is not made that way either. She does trust the process. I think the biggest issue is Tiffany doesn’t explain/ understand some things, so when she talks about it it sounds completely jumbled up. As long as behind the scenes she and her family are in the know. She is a sweet girl and I hope for the best.

If I’m understanding you right, it sounds like you’re implying Tiffany’s doctors may not have informed her of critical information, when all we have is her presentation. Perhaps you’re talking in general terms, but specifically in her case, she has admittedly avoided any negative information and (likely subconsciously) interprets negative results as positive results. We’ve seen this play out in previous videos.

I don’t believe her psyche can handle the reality of her situation, but that doesn’t mean the medical professionals have failed her. Even the original misdiagnosis is questionable at this point; we don’t know what the first hospital actually said. Simply put, we don’t have enough information and cannot rely on secondhand information from Tiffany. What’s more likely? That all her doctors have omitted detailed information for the duration of her treatment, or that Tiffany’s denial has badly warped the interpretation/processing of her results?

I think it’s down to Tiffany and how she interprets the doctors information and then how she explains it. Even back in the vlog when she was having her fertility treatment before chemo, she doesn’t understand it at all. I’m sure they spoke to her about possible menopause symptoms too, I just think she gets overwhelmed and doesn’t take it in.

No, you are not understanding me right at all. I made literally no reference to Tiffany? I don't even know where you are getting that from tbh. I was literally replying to the OP who suggested we need to advocate for ourselves, which as a concept I think is heinous. Noone should ever have to do that and many don't have the mental or physical capacity to do so.

I do not want it going down that I am suggesting Tiffany's doctors are negligent as I know nothing about her case. All I will agree, is it never hurts to get a second opinion, even if it's just to back up the first.

Something that was so weird for me is that she is absolutely sure that the last lot of chemo she had is the last chemo she will have in her life. I’m all for trying to be positive but she just sounds deluded.
If she had researched she would know cancer is not a quick fight, tick tick tick. For most people it’s many years of gruelling treatment before a PET scan shows cancer free. I feel very sorry she may be going through early menopause. This also accelerates aging because of the hormonal disruption it causes. Her situation is very bad I do feel for her. She probably just blocks it all out as much as she can.

I saw people in her comments call her a liar and a scammer. Oh dear.
Oh dear indeed. She's clearly not a scammer, although she is business-savvy and knows that by spinning out her videos by including not-very-much, she gets more from advertising revenue. But that's a world away from scamming and it's clear she has been seriously unwell.

For anybody who finds this sort of thing interesting, here's a link which shows you what Tiffany earns per episode on YouTube. Nice little earner.

that’s hardly a live-able income when she’s not working a main job and has a mortgage, putting a roof over her Mother and darling matts head. She’s definitely no scammer. I don’t think people should be judging a sick person that physically can’t work on making YouTube videos and trying to earn money via merchandise. Good for her.

Not judging her at all, she’s done YT for years. She had a good job that she loved and can’t do at the moment. Good for her for still being able to earn. I don’t like the click bait vlogs, but I certainly dont begrudge her doing them or earning from them.

Personally I have issue with her making a living of the fact she has cancer and not even giving a tiny amount of the proceeds of merch towards cancer research. Her mum and Matt are both able bodied and can work and Matt can’t be doing badly considering he bought her a van cleef and Arpel bracelet for her birthday which is over £1200 as well as other gifts and spa trips.

I don't mind people doing it, of course - they need to earn. But it's when they're not upfront about it or try to make out that they're doing us a favour. That's what doesn't sit easy.
