As I’ve said before, Tiffany is an unreliable narrator (accidental or not) and we know from the past - time and again - that she misinterprets or fails to comprehend basic information from the doctors.

I haven’t watched the new video, but for you lot who are increasingly confused, please remember this fact (which Tiffany has corroborated — she doesn’t know what’s going on, but will give “updates” despite this). This leaves everyone baffled, but it’s a pattern that’s been going on for months now.

Mentally, she appears wholly detached from the situation and therefore cannot convey information in a coherent, logical way. If you try to make sense of her recent and upcoming videos, you will fail.

Her mental health needs sorted before she makes any more videos, because her fragile state of mind combined with YouTube ”fame” is pulling her further from reality, and making her come across as disingenuous or deceptive. Even if it’s mostly ignorance, or some kind of cognitive deficit/delusion, something needs to be done on her behalf in order to save her life.

I don’t need to see the video to know this update is not true. T4B tumours do not simply disappear from minimal chemotherapy nor from radiotherapy — surgery is the only curative measure.

Conclusion: Either she never had the T4B tumour and miscommunicated that, or she did have the T4B tumour and is misinterpreting its current status. It’s not possible that it vanished. If so, she would be the first case where it’s happened.

Her friends don’t like it either, there’s always a camera in their face when they arrive at her house. It’s not good manners to greet someone entering a door and film them before telling them or asking their permission. In one vlog her friend actually hid behind the door. Tiffany said some friends have distanced themselves from her since her diagnosis but I wonder if it’s because of the constant filming and YouTube hype.

It’s very possible, and could explain the sudden shift from surgery to prayers. I don’t like to speculate too much, but if she was told she was terminal (or likely terminal even with the surgery), she may’ve reacted by presenting a different reality to herself and to YouTube. The hopeful, triumphant story is more marketable, and whilst people with terminal illnesses also have hope (in a different way), one is more profitable than the other.

The “magical cure” is much more likely to draw viewers than a dire prognosis for people who aren’t already invested. This magical thinking is also in alignment with what Tiffany needs to believe, which could drive such a move and also explain her anger at people talking about surgery. Something to consider, perhaps. If that’s what we’re witnessing, it’s very sad and disturbing.

Just watched the latest reel. She clearly refers to the thing in her lung being unchanged. If there is something in her lung then presumably she is Stage IV. Hope that's not the case but it sounds ominous to me.

I just went back and watched the old vlog about the lung 'misdiagnosis'. There was something small spotted in the lungs but it didn't light up in that particular PET scan. She interpreted that as no cancer there but it's not as simple as that is it?

Her mother’s face always gets to me. And she’s been crying a lot more when Tiff starts her goofy ass babbling. That is what clued me into something not being right.

duck, I am not even a big fan of Matt and I felt terrible for him in the latest vlog when she was cheezing it up at the door/stairs whatever and scared him. His expression and energy througout the slippper showcase was very telling and I can hear in his voice he is tired, and sad.

It’s all really doing my head in. I don’t know what to believe anymore.
 
A surprising number of people , when have CT scans , have nodules in their lungs ....these are very often benign but will be monitored for any change in size / number in subsequent scans which would then indicate that they are metastatic
I've attended numerous colorectal MDT ( multidisciplinary team) meetings over the years through my cancer research work , but I've honestly no idea what's going on with Tiffany

Cancer is basically a deformed cell that is multiplying out of control, hence it created a mass ("tumour") in Tiffany from her bowel, through bowel wall and touching other pelvic organs (local spread*).
Cancer cells have high metabolic rate, are multiplying fast, hence are seen on PET scan.
The treatment she has had (chemo, radio) seems to have shot the cancer cells.
They can't see evidence of cells still growing out of control on the recent scans.
Hence she isn't showing signs of active cancer on the scans they have done.
Of course, she very recently did have cancer, and it's too soon to give her an "all clear".
So it is watchful waiting to see what is happening.

Exactly what they mean by the cancer has responded is variable and clinicians can disagree with each other. "Tumour regression grading is limited by lack of standardisation" it could be "tumour shrinkage" or "tumour fragmentation" or "mucin pool formation".
There are still a lot of risks and caveats. "Negative biopsies do not rule out residual tumour" and there is "Higher local regrowth in advanced tumours". "Margin involvement is more important than Tumour Regression Grading and downstaging"

I don't know what Tiffany's tumour regression grading (TRG) stage is. Even the best score of TRG 4, doesn't give perfect prognosis even in patients who have surgery.
"TRG 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 was found in 10.4%, 52.2%, 13.8%, 15.3%, and 8.3% of the resected specimens, respectively. Five-year disease-free survival (DFS) after CRT and curative resection was 86% for TRG 4, 75% for grouped TRG 2 + 3, and 63% for grouped TRG 0 + 1 (P = .006)." https://ascopubs.org/doi/10.1200/JCO.2005.02.1329

I wish Tiffany all the best. I hope she really reads up on the pelvic evisceration surgery and considers it as a real possibility if needed to save her life. I don't blame her for trusting her doctors and going with their judgments, but she should still inform herself.

(Just to add *the lung nodule is not too relevant here as Royal Marsden didn't think it was anything to do with the cancer, just a random module, but they are checking on it just in case. Hence Tiffany's cancer was stage 3, not 4 as no distant metastases)

Lately Matt seems pretty detached from it all. It’s a high pressure situation for sure.
 
The "Loving TiffanyThinks family" isn't so loving under the last video.

People are now unsubscribing because of harassment in the comments, and the many professionals who left opinions on the "No Surgery" vlog are standing up for themselves by correcting Tiffany's misrepresentation of their feedback. I've seen perfectly reasonable comments disappear, so I'm certain input's been removed for not being "positive" enough; it's not just about "hate". Never seen such nonsense in the cancer-vlogger community. Aside from concerns about her acute mental state, she seems to have a complicated personality. She's something else.

I just fail to believe after the prognosis she had and no response to treatment she’s now NED. I also feel given the seriousness of her situation waiting is so foolish, why at the very least isn’t she rushing a second opinion? The poster was correct, money to burn on luxury slippers but not your literal life? This decision could make her inoperable do surely you’d want as many opinions as possible? My Dad went from NED to terminal and actively dying 2 weeks later. No that’s not everyone’s reality but I just can’t fathom how she’s being so blasé about this considering what she was originally told about it being so bad she needed the most radical treatment there is, to nothing?!
