The cynic in me believes Andrew might use this to get back into the public realm again and people will be too scared to criticise him because of it. Agree with people sbout Megan and Harry - damned if they do, dammed if they don't!

You mean the case he refuses to cooperate with and is hiding behind his mother so he can't be charged with anything? I 100% believe Virginia's claims about PA and the fact that people believe that Andrew is innocent because he hasn't been charged is ignorant. Only 3% of sexual Assult/ rape cases get a conviction which is hugely down to people holding opinions like this and the shame of it happening.

Prince Andrew has not been questioned or charged with anything, despite the speculation. I'm sure if the FBI or whoever, had anything more substantial than hearsay, they would have acted on it, regardless of who his Mother is. Accusations don't make someone guilty. FYI I have no particular feeling about Andrew, one way or the other.

Andrew has every right to grieve. I never said otherwise. It’s just that if a man in my family or a family friend, remained friends with one of the worst paedophiles and sex traffickers of recent times, then I wouldn’t want myself or my younger daughter around him. That’s it. He could be innocent (personally I find that hard to believe but there’s a possibility) but he did remain friendly with Epstein after Epstein was convicted, and that’s enough for me personally. Just my opinion though.

I didn’t say I disbelieved her claims. I was making the point that PA is his son and therefore has a right to talk about his father. And, whatever the circumstances, re PA being questioned or not questioned he hasn’t yet been convicted of a crime.

I think the wise choice was for her not to go. She was obviously not that close, and it means that someone closer than take her place at the funeral.

I don’t agree with a lot of the choices that M&H have made, but their critics have lost all credibility for me. They’re never going to do anything right in the eyes of so many. People have made their minds up so what’s the point in listening to their opinion?

Its ridiculous how people keep bringing them up all the time! They put out a minuscule statement but you would think she had set fire to a Prince Philip effigy the amount of column inches and words that have been expended on her since he has died. The people keeping Meghan and Harry in the news are the people who cant stop mentioning her at every opportunity! The Oprah interview was a month ago. Just bloody ignore them ffs!

I can understand where you’re coming from. But, I think it’s stretching credibility re a Lady Louise situation being a possibility.

Dismissing the claims against him because he hasn't been charged is dismissing what happened to her in my opinion. As the poster before me said he remained friends with a CONVICTED paedophile after he was charged and released which to me looks dodgy as duck.

I think much of this mess is media doing. PR wars. By default, function of monarchy is public, so media has to pay them attention. On the other hand if MM and JCMH chosen to live their new life out of media eye, they should not wage PR war with family. Media is salivating for crumbs from both sides and deform anything you say.

Media motto is: "Everything you say can be and will be perverted against you". So I would personally take royal way "Never complain, never explain".
 
I suspect this is a very good mock-up, if it was genuine it's been deleted, but it did make me first gasp and then laugh.

He is in a position of enormous privilege and he has used that status to avoid being accountable for his actions- regardless of what he has or hasn't done, the friendship isn't disputed and there is photo evidence of him with a trafficked 17 year old.

I respect differing opinions of course, l would like to think that goes without saying.
