I'm a formerly active member over on the DISboards and I can attest to the opposite to what is being said there. While there are a few intelligent, well mannered and friendly people over on the DIS (I still frequent one thread with nice people I've gotten to know) the bulk of them are there only to make sure they get what they need and no one one-ups them. They don't hold back on attacking anyone who does not add to what they need.

Examples of posts:
  • A post about how to earn money for a trip. The OP was thrashed for suggesting she/he needed money more than them.
  • A person offering hints on how to cheat the refillable cup system went viral with praise. ... They're sick to the point that they caused Disney to change the system entirely.
Here we do have some mean folk who exist for spite, but for the most part what I see are humans with brains calling out and trying to figure out crappy behavior.

I don’t think this was posted before but Steve Porter was asked about what he saw.

Yeah, I started off at GG looking for people calling out the Trackers. GG went through a rough patch with Rated X advertising on the site and other nasty business with their mods that I decided to jump ship the moment Tattle was recomended.
 
So we here on tattle are so awful? In that case roll me in sugar and call me a sociopath.

I joined Tattle because frankly it’s the only place on the tinterweb I can actually say what I want about grifting nobodies “influencers” “YouTube stars” without censorship.

and it’s the only place Sean and Dustin could go to have their voices heard over rape/drugging/sexual assault/financial and emotional abuse. That we know about so far.

Let that sink in lurkers who are reporting tales about us over on the other board.

I saw someone post that we are only getting Sean's side and not Charles about their disagreeable relationship, which I understand the other poster's point of view. However, Sean has posted since last year and gave very detailed accounts of both the professional and personal sides, to which many circumstances were very private in nature and he didn't have to expose himself. Sean gave a pretty fair account of his time with Pete, even giving Pete credit when credit was due on certain circumstances. I have no reason to not believe what Sean has shared until proven otherwise at this point.

Charles on the other hand just recently surfaced with his accounts and stories. I always thought he seemed off and I didn't hate him (nor wish any ill will) he just seemed like he was trying to come off with an I am better than you aurora. Down to the outfits, as if he just left the set of a Jane Austin Masterpiece Theater movie production. Even his account, especially the final reason he left, seemed like BS. He learned Dustin was drugged and raped/cameras in the bathroom, yet Pete making fun of John and Kevin was the line in the sand. for him? I'm a fair person and if he disproves everything Sean said with evidence, then I can change my mind. For now, I'm not impressed!

I don’t know how broad a reach Inside The Magic has but other sites might pick up the story from there and at a certain point Disney won’t want the tarnish on their name.

I have a sinking feeling that Disney will take no action on The Dis or Dreams if they say Pete has been removed from the company. I DO think that Pete will no longer enjoy the fanfare of "they know it's me here" (let all the cast members rejoice). I also think that before this Pete rarely went on property and I really don't think he will make a habit of it for quite some time. I am interested to know if Disney will pull his DTA credentials. You do get some discounts such as cruise, ticket, and hotel discounts.

I think this will be the most interesting thing to watch if and when there might be fallout with Disney. On a scale of scandals, this is way bigger than the Trackers one.
 
I do have a question about John's statement that Pete resigned as owner/editor in chief of The Dis. Then he mentions that he is currently being divested. How does one resign as the owner? Just seems like an odd thing to say. Why wouldn't he just say that he resigned as editor in chief and then add that his ownership interest is being divested. I know it's small technicality, but it was weird.

i always wondered who the kinds of people who went to these “dis meets” and stuff were lol.. fat old boomers with extra retirement money so they can get their couple seconds with their favorite old disney hags? are they racing ecv scooters to see who can get to the food faster? id rather go to disney by myself than with these losers haha

It very well could be a form of manipulation. Constant micro insults can really weigh on a person. Pete probably did it just because he could, anyone who complains either quits or gets fired. It's an exertion of power, and the fact that he does it on air speaks volumes.
I hate when people gloss over instances like this by telling the other person that they're being too sensitive, or that the abuser is from Jersey and that's just how they are... No! Either you treat people with respect, or you don't. If someone lets you know that they feel offended by something, than discuss it and fix it. That workplace didn't have healthy communication, and they didn't care.

I wonder what the fans pay to attend the meet ups and if they are allowed access to once in a lifetime experiences of Disney that they could never enjoy without attending these events.
