Didn't Sean say at one point Pete tried to fire him, but John interceded, saying firing him for Petty Pete's personal reasons could create an HR issue for the company? And that's when Sean was given a job as a DUT agent? If that's the case, it's clear that John knew Pete was a liability, and chose to look the other way.

Because while "Pete's an owner and can't be fired," may technically be true, no one forced John to stay in business with him. John is a grown man, with a lot of financial privilege and resources. Would it have cost him money to get out of the partnership? Of course, but if he's the great businessman he wants everyone to think he is, he could have started another business or gotten another job.

The real question for me is, can you put a price tag on your integrity and personal moral values? Apparently, in John's case, you can. And that price is a couple of rental properties, luxury vacations, and some Louis Vuitton bags.
 
Well the DIS event weekend @Disneyland is finally here including "Team meetups" scheduled through out today.
I will be curious to see what is posted on social media.

Erica will meet fans at the Castle today at which point they will all walk over to the storybook land canal boats and go on it together. Sounds super fun. :cautious::cautious::rolleyes:

I know he gets filler and botox, he even made the crazy mistake of getting it done on a DCL cruise! Ships do have MD's that do it, but it is such a stupid thing because it takes awhile to settle and can always have a reaction. It is best to do it before a big event, he had a reaction and his face was blown up for the rest of the cruise!

I went to the dis message boards to read the official statements, and responses, and one person suggested that they take down all content with Pete in it. That would be a huge hit for them considering that Pete was in a lot of videos. However, it would be emotionally healing for those directly affected by him to see that the company is committed to distancing themselves. And, I can only assume that a story like this would periodically resurface giving more profit to the company as people dig it up and post it on boards like this as proof. Dreams may just have to take the hit and wipe the slate clean. Crisis management isn't my thing, so there could be other options. I know that The Trackers took down their controversial videos and we all assumed that they were trying to hide it, which they probably were, but it would've looked worse for them if they had left them up. Unfortunately for Dreams, everything with Pete in it is controversial and triggering.

Pete will never allow himself to be canceled. As far as I'm aware he still owns the Dis.

I believe he still has a hefty financial involvement in Dreams Unlimited too.

Yes it appears so based on the full schedule as listed.

2PM - 3PM - Grand Californian Resort and Spa Convention Center. Look for signs to our podcast. We will have some light snacks so come about a half hour early to mix, mingle and nosh prior to the doors opening at 2PM. You will need to sign up/pay for the entire weekend/party to attend the podcast. Only credentialed guests will be admitted into the podcast.

So extraordinarily tone deaf. It's obvious they are not going to move forward or rebrand properly or decently.
 
Yeah, it seemed like people at least tried to keep Pete at arms length, but someone in the position of power should have felt obligated to do something. Clearly the guy was a liability. Of course that requires some knowledge, but contract someone out if you don't want to do it, or know how to do it correctly. Hindsight is a witch, but this was not a subtle situation.

All this talk of Charles Boda makes me want to punch him in the face…the only thing that is stopping me is I don’t want to be stabbed. I’m not buying his bullshit story about his roommate. Am I the only person that can’t stand Charles besides Sean?
