I just read through the whole DISBoards thread, and yeah - it seems like there hasn't been anything removed on there.

I think everyone is underestimating Pete’s arrogance. He won’t look at any of this as his fault and I don’t think he’s going anywhere personally. He needs the power and attention. He will continue to run things and will be back on the show in time.
Ok I read that and I just told my husband he needs to get himself out there. Just be a dude who other dudes want to hang out with at the Magic Kingdom so they don't look like a creeper walking around by themselves (no funny business). I'd sign off on that deal and half that price.
No Pete will not be back it’s not happening. It will taint the travel agency and John doesn’t want that. The word is absolutely out there now.
Haha no I would never charge that for just a day in the park but I would for longer trips like international or out of state. Cruises are by far the main trip type things people book.
But just Disney or dinner is a lot less. Business people often travel a lot and they just want someone to share a meal with to be able to talk or go see a movie or a game and not be alone and they don’t have time for flakes on dating apps.

The only issue is it seems Pete owns the DIS solely. From what Sean has said Pete is a big wiener and will not graciously step aside. I'm sure this transition will be difficult and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Pete shut the whole thing down before he let someone else take it over. I have no doubt that in his mind, he has done nothing wrong. I'm sure if you asked him, he would say he only gave Sean and Dustin opportunities. He is a user and manipulator and egomaniac. He will not go silently into the night.

I kind of adore Paul and Amy. Paul reminds me a lot of comedian Michael Showalter from the old MTV series "The State"

On one of their shows, I commented about this and Amy "Liked" it.
On some of the shows, Amy revealed an obsession she has with a very specific Italian Sandwich (at the Boardwalk I think) and I find that oddly endearing.

I hope we’re not making you feel uncomfortable with these questions it’s mostly just general curiosity as I think we’ve moved on from judgement (which who cares) to compassion and empathy based upon your circumstances.

Prediction: DIS unplugged becomes Craig’s baby with sponsorship of DU. John and Kevin have offered space in their home for a studio. They’ll participate when available. From there is where they came up with the story that they’re moving bc of Kevin’s mobility…it seems plausible since the new studio is in their house.

I’m inclined to agree with you but this sudden and immediate shut down of the studio in Pete’s house makes me think someone has the upper hand here. At least for now. John and Corey are the only ones with any potential authority to make these decisions right? Given what we have learned from Sean, I don’t think Pete will go down without a fight, even if it seems he’s giving in right now. Luckily this Amex lawsuit puts him in a vulnerable position.

It’s not. They live in St Cloud. The rest live closer to Orlando. It’s 30-45 minute drive from their house to Pete’s

I'm about where you are on this:
1. Pete will take his "hiatus" to deal with his depression.
2. The Amex issue will get settled.
3. The outrage and momentum regarding the issues on this thread will likely peak at some point, if they haven't already.
4. John and Kevin will realize they enjoy their cruise life style much more than running the DIS shows. That its not easy to just dissolve all the business relationships and that falling back into the old ways is pretty easy.
5. Enough time will pass and Pete will make a triumphant return and take back over.
There is damage going on behind the scenes, but we might be overestimating the impact. Two weeks ago the Dis Patreon had 2,187 patreons. Today they have 2,196. We are in the height of the storm raging around Pete and Patreon membership has actually increased. Most people just arent aware and may never become aware.
Nah, I’m good. I’m a pretty open book.
I never felt weird about it but I know the sentiment isn’t always the same for other people so I just try to be respectful.

Sean, was the idea to create MTO purely Pete’s idea? Sorry if u touched on this before but was he just hopping on the hot real estate market at the time and create the agency to make additional money and give you a stake in it in order to continue to keep you in his circle? Did Pete ever do any real work at the agency in terms of showing homes, working with clients, going to closings etc. or did he want you and the other agents to do the work and he kept his percentage as co -owner?
Glad you have done so well with real estate and hopefully your success continues. Is Pete completely out of MTO? If not wouldn’t that be an asset Amex would look at?
