I don’t like Fiasco either. Boring.

Shaun Thompson was so smart and thoughtful in his commentary really seemed to know Disney and be a genuine fan. JL too always brought an air of professionalism to that show. Oliver was also meant to be an on air talent.

I own DVC. I go yearly so I don't see it as a scam. If yall think its a scam I'd love to have that explained to me!

Magic Candle Company sucks anyways. None of their products are accurate.. They are simply "inspired by"

lol pete really is the Vince Mcmahon of the disney community if this happens

Lol. Vince McMahon is a perfect comp. Vince came back a conquering hero, taking back control of his company and ousting his enemies. People quickly forgot about the horrible accusations that drove him out in the first place.

I don't expect we will hear much of the current team say anything negative about Pete. They know Vampire Pete is lurking and when/if he comes back he is going to be punishing those who didn't "support" him.

I don’t think Vince was financially wreck less with the company’s money. Additionally, the attachment to Disney brings wholesome background not with the baggage that Pete brings

@The Mando so interesting! The 31 days of Disney in 31 days was not a good moment so last question did you legitimately have any good moments with Pete and what was the FINAL straw.

Was this ending staged…????? Cause now I’m questioning everything lol

This was not coordinated and I was not given any type of backstage tour of anything lol. Not a clue what he is referencing.

I don’t believe that. I think the team liked him. Some viewers may have given him a bad rap. But not the team.

ehhhhh I don’t really think they did. Considering he did a lot of dining reviews alone and wasn’t included a lot. You can read the body language and responses when he was on shows. They were cordial, I don’t think they hated him but I’m sure no one is clambering to invite him anywhere.

Can someone fill me in, please? What's going on?

there’s a recap on page one.

MTO was Pete’s idea and he did do a lot of work when I took over. After Eric, we owned it 50/50 and he was heavily involved at the time and actually worked as hard as I did to try and get things going.

But he got bored of it and he mentally associated it with me and love of some kind so anytime he was mad at me he would just try to destroy it or at least make sure I couldn’t benefit from it as much as possible.

He did actually once to take a client and I ended up stepping in because he flipped out on the guy for texting him later than Pete wanted to be texted. The man apologized a lot and even made a nice post thanking me and Pete in the MTO Facebook group for the help and Pete commented back, thanks and just remember not to text after business hours (or something to that effect) I was completely humiliated. I couldn’t believe he treated someone spending $500k on their dream in such a dismissive way.

The worst part was the man text him and Pete was still awake. He could’ve just left the text for the following day and responding during normal business hours (this was like 9:30pm, not like 3am or anything) and the buyer would’ve just known but he went out of his way to be hurtful. Luckily he decided that real estate wasn’t for him and he’d rather sit around and collect checks.

And I was going to do that with him, forever. I’d have paid him til he died because Pete provided me such a leg up with the DIS. But once he started wanting me to pay for him assistants, set ridiculous rules and all this other nonsense, I had to go.

Lol I did drive around in a truck making sales, to be fair - just not the kind people thought haha.

Oh I made a lot more money before. Pete paid $36k per year, the other def made a lot more but I wanted to do something more with my life and you can’t do that forever and I really wanted to give it all a chance. I could’ve gone back if I had to but I was really ready to close that chapter of my life and have a grown up job.

I don’t think anyone seeks out being an escort; it was out of necessity at the time. I just grew up in a rougher area and wanted a better life for myself.

Much like losing your actual Virginity, you can’t undo it after the first time, so once you’ve done it once, you can never go back to a time where you can say you didn’t. So you might as well keep doing it.
I could tell the day he announced getting his real estate license and that it had been "his dream for so long" I could see by his mannerisms he was bored and just looking to do something new and he would get bored of that soon.
He showed the same enthusiasm for the sidisney site which I found ridiculous of why wouldn't you just link the Spanish site to your existing site which has all the traffic.
Seems that MTO was lucrative I just don't understand how so quickly. A brand new business made 900k profit?

I’d guess around 3500?
Damn im in the wrong field lol

Id argue that Terressa and Kathy also have a place. Other than that you nailed it. Theyre like the moms of the show always have been

I have actually heard of the Soain BTS tour being sometimes done on the California ABD. In fact, Disney also has offered it on and off for DVC members for several years. It looks like it’s currently “off” but when it comes back it will be in the DVC Membership extras. Google can lead you to bits and pieces of info about it on the boards, etc.

Don’t give up yet Sean, keep this dream on your bucket list!

Record low interest rates, the pandemic driving people to work from home and people being able to pay (then) Florida housing rates on a New York budget and The DIS already having a fan base were the main factors but the other was that the show was different.

At the time I didn’t know as much of the details with real estate, but I was honest with people and that was the main feedback people always gave for going with MTO was that not every house was this perfect oasis and the greatest home that any person ever bought and the best deal ever etc etc. I think it was more in line with how the DIS started, it was tough but fair and realistic.

Interesting that they ARE still monitoring apparently - to a degree - but letting a lot of comments remain that Pete can't be too happy about. Banning you for that comment is silly and petty but I am glad that they're not completely shutting down the discussion.

$900 profit… $900 AMEX bill… 🤣

So, randomly…and don’t judge me for this. I had a legit dream I was at the movies with Pete last night. He wanted me to get him popcorn in a box…but making sure the concession person grabbed the popcorn with their hands AND the concession person had the longest/dirtiest fingernails I could find.

I really wanted to jump in the shower the minute I woke up today…

We were never engaged but when he did propose he sat down I think. I don’t think he got on one knee. He pulled his Own ring off and handed it to me and said ‘I want you to be my partner in life and in business and if you’ll marry me I won’t make you sign a prenup’ and I was like ‘why would you say it like that?’ Which then made him mad.
ROFL it's ironic that you should've been the one to have a prenup to protect yourself from him.
