Every time I hear mention of Andy Murray retiring, I tear up. 😢

He's such a Legend.

He was so bad this morning though it's getting painful to see. Having made a prat of myself in Zumba earlier with my body not doing what my brain was telling it to do I can only imagine how frustrating it must feel to know how to play top tennis but you're body giving up on you. It feels so unfair when some of the best guys can't compete due to injury - Berretini seems to be going the same way.

I’m a massive Andy fan but I do think his time playing singles is at an end. I would love him to Coach Emma or Jack and I would also love him to play doubles with Jamie.

I know he said he still loves the game and playing but he’s got 4 young kids. It would be good for him to spend time with his family but he strikes me as the type who would get bored quickly.

Has anyone seen the clip of him completing the Rubix cube in 3 minutes?!

I was really hoping for a Murray vs Djokovic meeting in the 3rd round but it wasn't to be! I'm hoping he will be able to get a good run at Wimbledon this year as I have a feeling this may he his last.

By the way, how come that Novaxx didn’t get his usual schedule of playing first round ahead of all his competition? I guess his draw must be even easier than usual then, because surely he’d throw a tantrum over this, no? 😁😉
Looking at first round results though, the others are making things easy for him, loads of five set matches already. Including Rublev. This won’t end well :(

He was really quite bad this morning, but part of me thinks it’s slightly mental more than completely physical. A year in sport, especially at his age, can be a lot, but he showed only a year ago he can still play the really long games and keep up and be smarter than some of the players 10/15 years younger than him, so he’s not fully lost it physically. He kept going for the same shot this morning and couldn’t pull it off, it was like he was punishing himself mentally rather than just changing up his game or getting over the fact he couldn’t get that one shot, that’s what made me think it might be part mental and he needs a good sports psychologist if this is to be his final year and he wants to have a decent stab at it.

yes and I had to laugh at the people just happily eating their dinner in the background - I mean ffs theres a living legend there doing a rubix cube what could be more interesting!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if there'll be a retirement announcement before wimbledon and that be his last tournament....however have thought that for the past five years!!

Hasn't Rafa announced that this will be his last year? don't think it's Andy's style to announce retirement before it happens. His reception at Wimbledon this year will be massive simply because everyone will know that it could well be his last. I hate journalists asking him about retirement plans. It's just so awkward and the likelihood of a definitive answer is zero anyway.

And now u can't see The screen properly cos of watery eyes. .

It must be so annoying everytime Andy has a bad match they ask if thats it. He must have an end in sight - he had the big farewell at the australian open a few years back didn't he

Very impressed at Kyrgios's commentary - would rather be watching him play though

Yeah that was a complete farce and very awkward for him. He hadn't even said he was retiring and here they are creating a retirement video with cheerio messages from multiple players. It probably makes him feel awkward about announcing his retirement in the future as it felt like he already got a send off and this would now be the second time through no fault of his own.

Just caught the last set of the Rybakina/Blinkova match. Amazing! Longest tiebreak in a women's grand slam match too.

That tie break was amazing!!!

Definately seems that the seeds aren't having a great tournament.

As unfair it is that Medvedev has to start playing at 11 at night it works very well for my afternoon!
