Tennis #3 🎾

What a great success after an amazing few months for her 😍😍😍

It’s probably unfair, but I feel Novak could be the Lance Armstrong of tennis. I don’t trust the weird potions he drinks that his team mix for him. I don’t get why there hasn’t been more questions about him inhaling his bottles! Too many times he’s looked as if he’s dying, then he has a magic drink and then runs around like a whippet.

Tbh I just think he’s got lucky with his body (which is something he’s admitted), but is also really restrictive and controlled of his routines and life. I read that after winning Wimbledon his wife asked if he wanted anything and he said chocolate. He had one square of it, really indulged in the moment and was then like okay that’s enough. He reminds me a bit of Ronaldo, perhaps not the most naturally talented or with the best flair and art of the sport, but probably the most hard working and willing to do what it takes. I don’t agree with the AO incident, but if a man is basically scared of chocolate and what it will do to his body and career, I can see why he’d be scared of a vaccine.

Novak not taking the vaccine was never the issue. It was his behaviour surrounding the whole issue like organising a tournament during covid, partying with his fellow players, several of them getting covid, and then trying to twist the rules so he could play the Aus Open without taking the vaccine. Him and his wife are both conspiracy theory nutters who have said a lot of crazy tit long before covid even existed.

I don't for one minute believe he'd had Covid like he said he had to try and get round the vaccine rule.

And that sort of thing reminds me why I'm not a pro athlete 😅

I could be wrong but I genuinely believe he's all about gluten free and magic crystals and don't get a Armstrong vibe at all.

But some events like swimming have had questionable results from athletes that have passed regular testing, so I doubt they can detect all the dodgy stuff people are up to.

I don’t doubt that and said I don’t agree with any of his stance, but I’ve seen a fair amount of people give him tit just for not having the vaccine. I just find the idea that he’s doping a bit crazy when in reality he just seems to be one of the most controlling and hardworking athletes of our generation, who happens to be genetically blessed with injuries but can also be a bit of a knobhead.
