Dear Richie, monikers such as: Big, Lazy, thick as f, fatty etc., are all examples of fat shaming and the terms which are widely used to describe someone who is overweight. You had, and have the chance to change the narrative on this and turn it into something positive, but you chose to jump on the proverbial bandwagon and continue with your offensive onslaught against anyone who is overweight and by that I mean, overweight women.
Imagine if we flipped this on to an eating disorder frame of mind and used the monikers: ‘skinny’, ‘thin’, ‘skin and bones’ etc., you, along with your acolytes would be immediately offended and righty so, and yet you think that it’s ok to use offensive monikers to describe women who are overweight and then you call it, ‘banter’!
