I reckon it was convenient by him to keep the relationship going because he is a small name and pretty much a nobody, whereas Vanessa is a household name in this country. Does he get work because of who he is or because of who Vanessa is? Makes you wonder.

I wonder if he will try and sell his story for money, my life with Vanessa type of thing. I wouldn’t be surprised. She mentioned when switching jobs she was hoping to have a few late nights out with him rather than having to leave him at a party or event to go home to sleep. Just when her career has settled to a more manageable level she now has this going on. There’s a lot of goodwill for her, she’s good at her job. All power to the Feltz.
 
I only warmed to Vanessa recently when a caller rang in and said Esther Rantzen looked 20 years younger than her. He didn’t mean it nastily but the way she handled it was hilarious. She seems to have a good outlook. He seems very camp? He’s had to limit his comments on Instagram

The press only reported on it once Vanessa posted to her own social media to announce it. Which is nice to see, the media isn't quite as bad as Harry makes them out to be.

Of all the new signings to talk once it became TV she's by far the best imo. What on earth were the BBC ever thinking letting her go (along with all the others).

Ben was always so desperate. Remember when he kept singing the chorus from his one hit wonder to Debbie McGee on wife swap because he couldn't believe she didn't know it. V can do better, sounded like he was always off and about doing such minor events.

Great to see all the love and support for V.

Not so much for Ben 😂 but his most recent post got a like from V's ex-colleague, BBC Radio London's Jo Good (vlogger/flogger known as @middleagedminx ) who has long thrown shade Vanessa's way, sometimes size-ist in nature :mad:

Vanessa spoke a little about her situation when Ian Collins was handing over to her at 4pm. I felt really sorry for her. She just mentioned her private life is being highlighted and she is being bombarded with reporters and photographers and her doorbell was being continually pressed. I cannot even imaging having to endure that. Think I would have to get my hose pipe turned on for a clean of the front garden :ROFLMAO:

Yes, I felt for her. She made it clear she didn't give the story to the paper, but was asked for a comment/statement, which she gave.

Yes, let's hope we don't see anything from his conquests to add to V's upset.

Presumably V has all the receipts so B's initial attempt at wriggling out of it - apparently he claimed he'd been trolled and was going to the police - didn't wash.

Yeah I hope she is okay. Always thought he was a twonk, he just confirmed it.
 
I don’t get why Vanessa was so wound up with that guy and had to rewind. He could’ve introduced himself but it was also his first show so maybe she could’ve been less offended. He was right about the license fee.

Some guy called Russell Quirk standing in for Ian Collins and was finishing up a debate. Apparently he’s a “gammon”. This is the end but there’s some cut off where she didn’t want to talk about her show and it was off air near the start probably whilst she calmed down.

Then she slagged him off with a caller which was crass.
 
Ok I was expecting that to be worse. Probably for the best it was cut off as Vanessa went ott.

Although I'm not surprised she was standoffish with him asking her silly questions that he knew she wouldn't just agree with and throw shade at lots of the people she's friends with. I'd probably react the same😆

It really isn't a good look when presenters snipe at each other. James OB was the worst for it. Just nip it in the bud with a "well they're not hear to defend themselves" and they can get across their view in the delivery of that.
 
Vanessa was completely right. That Russell chap has never been on talk before, never done radio, he was abysmal presenting, he shouted everybody down trying to be heard, he was a moron. His way or the highway.
Speaking to Vanessa the way he did was rude, he was effectively branding her BBC trash. She didn’t know who he was either, and for a Broadcaster of nearly 50 years she’s dealt with everybody. No match for her in the end.

The call 30 minutes later when acknowledged how awful he was she simply agreed he was rude. I doubt we shall see him again.
 
I hope he isn't ever back on the air. Those two minutes were enough for me.

What an idiot treating Vanessa as if she's a guest from an unpopular organisation and trying to trip her up with cheap point scoring. That's not how you interact with other hosts, even if you're vehemently opposed to them.🤦‍♀️

He got back as much respect as he gave her. I bet she'd usually be more professional, but her patience for stupidity is probably pretty low at the moment.

I don't know how I feel about this interaction. As for Russell, I believe he is filling in for Ian Collins who regularly had Russell in for interviews and general input to his show. I think Russell has been part of other presenters shows also. He has been doing that for months. Unless Vanessa puts in a complaint, talk radio won't ask Russell to leave. If you ever listened to TR about a year ago and the hand overs with whale/O'sullivan, the Vanessa/Russell debacle was nothing.
