I unmuted right on 'bleeping asshole' with no context, pmsl 😂 😂 😂

So mad about the producers rigging it for trashbag Louis to get to the final, and who the duck voted for Fern over Marisha or ZeZe? Can't believe she's still in and they're both out, fuming.

At least our pretty baby is safe for now. No chance of winning though, the producers are clearly only interested in airing petty bitching and no interesting conversations. I don't understand the point of the show the way it's being produced. They've taken all the actual sleaze, trashiness and scandal out, which is surely what the core fanbase is there for, and replaced it with people arguing over how to cut oranges and whether saying stripes are fashionable is an insult or not. Just go all out with getting a bunch of trashy Z listers to Hunger Games each other, ffs. What's the bleeping point of casting primarily nice, calm people who get along then making them disappear in the edit? I look forward to forgetting he ever did this crap.

Yeah, they are trying my patience now. And clapping back to every little criticism of Nikita, they're getting like the obsessive Dianne fans which is not a good look 😬 Although it's not specific to DS, Twitter and even here on occasion gets a bit shirty when the golden boy is criticised. Why can't fans just like someone a normal amount instead of going all crazy about them? 😩😅

I couldn't agree more. Nikita has been turned into one giant wet woobie by that crowd.

From everything I've read and clips I've seen, I do think he's got a little sly streak. And OK, Fern's gone off the deep, but I actually think I can understand what's triggered it. He was a blubbering mess in front of her about having to nominate her and she probably, not wrongly, assumed it was the first time he'd done it and it really hurt him to do so - she was fine with it . Next thing, when he doesn't know she's watching, he flippantly admits it's been three times and laughs about it.

My reaction would have been... Wow, you devious little tit!

I can also get how bleeping annoying that little clique is, and how excluded you might feel around them.

Layton, I've never considered wholesome, even while on Strictly. You could clearly see the sharpness. I think Nikita softened the hard edges and they complimented each other perfectly. DS are mad, though. Like when they were trying to guess his next big theatre project, someone has the 'audacity' to suggest she didn't think he had anything big lined up just yet... and the touchiness and snippy attitudes just at the merest suggestion he wasn't about to announce a starring role in a major West End production within the next 48hrs... and to my knowledge he still hasn't, has he? 😆

Yeah, I adored Lakita at the time, but it's enough now.

Yeah, I think Nikita dislikes Fern and he spoke over her last night when she was trying to have a conversation. Fair enough. But he is not a perfect pretty princess! I feel sorry for his next partner - it will be tough for them from the stans. At least we know Nikita will be more professional than Gio was post-Rose.
Someone in the Lakita AT got right on my tits a few weeks ago with a comment about Ellie and Vito's friendship being an act to get the glitterball. Apparently Ellie gave a slightly vague answer to when Vito was coming to the play in a radio interview and they 'read between the lines' and took it as an admission that of course they were never going to speak to each other again because of course there could only be one pair with a magical, unbreakable soul bond, everyone else was only pretending to be friends.

I saw that - very annoying. I presumed Ellie was being vague because Vito was filming Celeb Masterchef which wasn't officially announced. Ellie said the other day that she and Vito have spoken every day since September. I imagine he rings her just to rant about pasta.
 
I think it's ridiculous the way Fern seems determined to make him nominating her some kind of personal attack. Loads of people were giving snippy, personal reasons for nominating people, or going to the opposite extreme of pretending to cry about nominating people they'd met 3 days ago. The first two times Nikita nominated her he was very short, direct and unemotional when giving his reason - she's the one who participates the least with the group, the end. He cried during the face to face nominations because he clearly has some personal issue with confrontation. Or a pathological fear of his Strictly contract going up in smoke for saying something even slightly negative, whichever.

She's insecure and projecting. Her reasons for nominating Ekin-Su and Louis were personal attacks (albeit correct ones) so she thinks everyone's must be, and now she's trying to sus out 'why he hates her' when he most likely just meant exactly what he said. She also nominated the same person 3 times in a row. The producers truly scraping the bottom of the barrel for 'drama.'
 
Even outwith the Nikita situation I think Fern is a nasty piece of work. She’s determined to make herself the victim for whatever reason but luckily most of the public have seen right through it, to try and imply he was ageist was ridiculous. The fact that she was so friendly with the abusive uncle of Kate Middleton said a lot really. I think she’s massively struggling and like Ekin Su it would have been best for her if she went last night. Zeze might have her flaws but I would much rather she had stayed.

Weeeeellll technically he was crying about nominating Louis... he'd pretty much calmed down when it came to nominating Fern. 🙈🤣😝 He was used to it by then.
 
CBB and BB - really is toxic. It is also manipulated by the production team, I know strictly as well but not to the same level.
Stans/shippers of any kind make me uncomfortable - I just don’t think it is healthy to be that obsessed with anyone whether famous or not.
Not that long until the pro tour.

Agreed. I liked her at first, and gave her the benefit of the doubt over her politics and Uncle Gary fawning, reasoning she's a journalist, she's used to being impartial, we don't really know for sure she's a Tory, but turns out she is a right nasty cow.

Ridiculous to accuse Nikita of being ageist (in a deliberately vague and confusing way, using the language barrier as a weapon. witch.) at the same time as nominating Colson because she thinks 25 year olds don't have the right to complain about having a bad neck! :rolleyes:

I'd given her the benefit of the doubt over asking Ekin-Su about OnlyFans as well, but now I'm thinking that wasn't a joke at all, and she deliberately picked that fight too.

She's going to feel like such a tit when she watches it back looking for DR footage of Nikita bitching about her and all she finds is one sentence that's exactly the same as the one he said to her face. 😂

That said, I'm not going to go so far as someone on DS a couple of days ago, who asserted that the only possible reason he could not like her is because of her 'views', and he's obviously just being the most supportive and noble ally ever by nominating her. lol, or maybe he just didn't click with her. And presumably does dislike her now that she's lost her tit at him over nothing.
 
Fern's acting like a mad twit about it and it will be her downfall. She's showing everything warts and all... but then that is why people watch this show.

Nikita being so guarded and protective of his image, and immersing himself in a clique where there is safety in numbers is probably why he's being perceived as disingenuous.
 
Nice to see mere acquaintances Pouffy-haired Vito and Ellie back together (at least Booby was only there two-dimensionally).

I don’t see that as sly at all. They all handle nominations in a clumsy way. Could be nervous laughter. He does have the right to nominate who he likes. Fern nominated ES every time and Louis Zeze I believe.

Fern I find REALLY sly and it feels like she wants to crush some of the young (and especially foreign?!) HMs.

Someone pointed out on DS that Fern saw herself as mum of the house and Sharon took that role.

Interesting that the clip of what was actually said about the striped top was shown. I know ES was hated but I wonder about the whole bikini in hot tub comments Fern made in Diary Room nominations? Also the Lauren washing thing seemed twisted: Fern said she was doing a load so why not add washing to that?

Fern is extremely passive aggressive and turns everything into an ism (age) to try and deflect her spite onto others. Not a nice lady.

Nikita isn’t perfect but he’s hampered by language and nuances. Maybe he just can’t abide her and doesn’t want to be drawn in? I guess in 10 years’ time he would be able to sit down and rationalise with her. As I said in the other thread (I’m lost now!), Nikita may be young but has Fern had to deal with T1 diabetes and nomadic lifestyle?

I don’t find those boys excessively cliquey I must say.

I still think Nikita is great and really interesting but wouldn’t mind Louis winning as he’s been excellent value. At an age when he doesn’t have to give a stuff!

Agree and don’t think he should have been advised to go on. Still it will raise his profile.
 
It’s weird as we all noticed that Nikita was a bit standoffish with Ekin-Su from the start and I put that down as being because he was astute enough to see the real her. I wonder if the same happened with Fern? I’ve got to say that I think part of the reason Fern was able to identify Ekin-Su’s character is because Fern has many similarities, she is just smarter and more mature so able to mask better.
Nikita is a very tactile person and is often seen hugging and cuddling up to people. I’ve noticed Fern cuddled up with David and Bradley in her role as ‘house mother’ but never Nikita.

I really liked Fern before this and had her down as a potential winner but I think she is extremely manipulative and the expert in victimising herself and playing the martyr. I do think she is insecure about her age and is projecting a load of stuff onto Nikita as he is the one who sees past her mask and has remained a bit more guarded around her. As she hasn’t fooled him in her head he is her enemy.

In all honesty I had to step back a bit as Fern was triggering me and reminding so much of my abusive covert narcissist mother. Incidentally my mother is as dangerous in her 60’s as she was in her 20’s. I know lots of people felt that Ekin-Su was a narcissist but doesn’t the below sound very much like Fern?

I used to assume Fern was telling the truth about Artem but I'm much less convinced now she's shown herself to twist and blow things out of proportion to a truly insane degree. Sure she's probably not quite such a nutter in real life, some of it's bound to be the stress of being in the Big Brother house, but Strictly is a stressful time too, so I do now lean towards thinking Artem didn't really do anything all that wrong. She probably just didn't take too kindly to being corrected and told to keep repeating stuff until it was right.

And as for all the 'shoving and kicking' stuff - if she can take 'stripes are cool now' as an ageist insult, then I imagine she also could have taken being moved into the correct position as a borderline assault. If he'd really done that, surely more of his partners would have complained about him? Most (all?) of Artem's DWTS partners have had only good things to say about him. Can't remember who, but someone who was partnered with Gleb but had Artem on switch up week said that he had a much kinder and more relaxed teaching style than Gleb.

There's no way Artem would have survived so long at DWTS if he was truly awful. I do think having Fern after Kara & Holly was a massive learning curve and it wasn't his best series as a pro, but I too wonder if that partnership took two to tango or if the stories were a bit exaggerated. The only DWTS person with actual bad words to say about Artem was Mischa Barton, and she had bigger problems than dancing at the time.

(Jana Kramer was the Gleb partner who briefly rehearsed with Artem when Gleb got injured though they didn't perform together).
