Thought Ellie was a worthy winner but I keep reading about the supposed chemistry with her partner - I think it was just friendship but it was lovely to see her grow in confidence because of their relationship.

Judges are annoying and wildly inconsistent?! Plus they seemed to roast Nigel for no reason, all the time?

I'll watch the next series but I don't know how Nikita's next partner lives up to Layton.

he's just 26 years old, the best partner to tilly, ellie and layton 💜

and, eh, if she hadn't already done it, I'd say fern would have been the ideal partner for him this year given he's due a duffer

It'd be so fun to see him take her out again 😁

I suggest you peruse the Appreciation Thread on Digital Spy! You'll find a level of obsession that is slightly concerning, but will be satisfying.

I can't believe FR and Daddy Anton are trying to spin out their series to a third season, when they've already scraped the barrel. Maybe Season 3 could be some London clubs so we get to see Gio in his natural habitat? (also Gorka the only pro to like his post about the series)

Kind of annoyed that I might have inadvertently contributed to their viewing figures 🫤

They're just recycling that story from a month or two ago to add fuel. Someone on FB calculated that a mutual unfollow happened at the same time, and it was when Vito was performing on the tour, so it was most likely Gio unfollowing and then removing Vito from his followers.
Or maybe Vito saw a pic of Gio putting cream on his carbonara and unfollowed him in a rage!

I saw this dance on last years tour and Nikita was really emotional after it, was a beautiful moment. Ellie was brilliant and although she probably wouldn’t have made it much further than Blackpool I do think she went too soon.

Nikita has had 3 completely different partners and has done amazing with all 3, I would love to see him with a fun older celeb this year.

I think PTSD is a much bastardised and abused term (similarly OCD, which people self diagnose because they like a clean kitchen).

Dancing isn’t for everybody (it certainly wasn’t for Rachel) and trying to dance to anything approaching a professional standard must be physically and mentally exhausting. Do I think some celebs are embarrassed after the fact? Absolutely. Do I think they have long lasting psychological trauma? Not so much.

I do however think the competitive training that is now de rigour for the show is detrimental to people’s enjoyment and likely impacts the calibre of stars they can attract, so it’s something the bosses should probably be monitoring.

I think there needs to be more consideration given to celebs personal circumstances. If someone like Amanda can be accused of ‘slacking’ and not putting the hours in then there’s no hope for anyone else. Actually, I think that is Gio's main issue. He just isn’t adaptable as a teacher. He has his teaching method and you either learn with that or you don’t.

Even though the judging is a lot more benign than it used to be … some of the comments from Craig and Arlene in the early series wouldn’t fly now … the judges still need to realise than when a celeb has been training stupid hours a week then a bit of consideration for the fact they actually cahhmmmm out and gave it a go isn't a green light to knock their confidence and make the pro’s job harder.
When it comes down to it, the celebs aren’t learning to dance. They are learning a specific routine. In 21 series no one Has gone on to have much more of a dance career than they did before … and those that have danced other routines have probably had to almost start from scratch.
 
I think the Beryls have gone to Fanny Rats head. He thinks he’s the main star and that the celebrity should feel fortunate to have him and just do as they’re told. I think he feels superior to most people. When is his show in London? I wonder if there will be a group outing like there was for Graz?
Looking at my local venue, despite the extortionate prices, Gio was pretty much sold out, Jojo has sold most of his tickets and Graz, who has the most affordable ticket options, has loads of seats left.

Think that’s just down to Gio being more well known and having had a better run on strictly, he’s had a strong fanbase for 6/7 years so can afford to have expensive tickets as it’s guaranteed they’ll sell. Johannes is pretty much loved by every casual Strictly fan so his tickets will sell too. I honestly don’t know why Graz decided to start his own show in 2020, having only had one partner. This show seems a lot better though and he’s a bit more well known. I think if he continues he’ll do well as it’s had some really good reviews so hopefully he’ll turn in some bigger crowds next year
 
I think Gorka will go (if he hasn’t already) and maybe Graz or Luba or Kai. Possibly Jowita as she went last year.

I saw someone had posted yesterday on DS about seeing the pros and celebs going into Graz’s show and saying ‘there’s clearly romance in the air and clearly has been for a while’ but when I looked there they’d deleted the comment! Wonder what the gossip is: Vito and Jowita? Krishnan and Jowita? Michelle and Nancy’s bf? Vito and Graz’s mum?
