Don't know if this article has been posted here before but she's a name that keeps getting mentioned. Looking at cyclist's track records she'd probably be awful but if she was half decent she could win it, I think she'd get a lot of public support. Think of how loved Helen was last year and multiply by 10

I’d never do Strictly because I do not have a musical bone in my body! The thought of having to remember a dance routine? I’ve got no chance! I would be so bad, stiff as a board. The others though, possibly! I’d be up for something else.

I think a high profile Olympian retiring before the Olympics would always get the Strictly rumours. It keeps the interest ticking over nicely. I suppose it depends how much she wants to be winched down from the Blackpool ceiling on a bike

Pendledrama made it all the way to Wembley just so she come down on a bike in a Union flag outfit to Bicycle Race. Never Underestimate the power of a storyboard set in stone and general goodwill towards nervy Olympians
Definitely think they'll ask Laura. I'd be in full support of her being Gio's partner as he & the Beryls will be delighted that he landed a young, pretty multi-time gold medalist Olympian, only for her to move like Pendleton/Cundy. The reactions will be priceless, we all remember Brendan's excitement slowly wearing away over the weeks with VP. At least as an athlete, she might well fit the bill for the Pernice regime than some others.
Pretty sure they're only going to cast GB Olympians.

I've never watched Strictly but I was turned on inspired to watch it after liking Nikita on CBB....

His partnership with Layton is unbelievable, the chemistry between them 
I think they have genuine love for each other, a few times I was like "NOW KISS!" but I think they have a gorgeous friendship. I forgot to breathe during their AT, just stunning. Also, special mention to the pole and the eyeliner during the Blackpool routine. Dripping like a fucked fridge.
Thought Ellie was a worthy winner but I keep reading about the supposed chemistry with her partner - I think it was just friendship but it was lovely to see her grow in confidence because of their relationship.
Judges are annoying and wildly inconsistent?! Plus they seemed to roast Nigel for no reason, all the time?
I'll watch the next series but I don't know how Nikita's next partner lives up to Layton.

I don’t think any future partner will live up to Layton but I do think Nikita will continue to be one of the best pros and will definitely get his win one day. It happened with another pro Oti, she was partnered with one of the best dancers in the history of the show back in 2016 but they didn’t win … although it was never as good she still went on to have more great partnerships and won twice before leaving the show.I've never watched Strictly but I wasturned oninspired to watch it after liking Nikita on CBB....

Can confirm the scoring will not get any more consistent and Nikita's next partner will most likely not live up to Layton (although if you can find a way to watch it his partnership in 2022 with Ellie Simmonds I think was equally lovely). he did his best to give her the best experience was so lovely when she did a vt wishing him luck on cbb. he's still mates with ellie and tilly
and it was so upsetting when he was in the diary room saying how he finds it hard to make friends what with constantly moving, but literally no one has a bad word to say about him
