CBB needs to be fairer with their screen time. Too much focus on bitching and not enough on Nikita’s face! He seems to be popular with the other housemates so he’s clearly interacting plenty with them. I hope the editing is a bit fairer next week. Layton has warned them!
 
My cringe-ometer simply cannot deal with any of the improv bits they keep doing, not just the dumb sex voice one. 😭

I have a pretty high ick-tolerance - you've got to reach Fanny Rat levels of ick to be permanently ruined for me - but I also cringed hard at that. I found it cringy af when he did the same shtick on the tour lipsynching to the Blackpool number too, but it was easier to overlook then because just being in the BB house magnifies ick times a hundred.

I think it's a bit harsh to be totally done with him over it though. It was a bit lame, but he was just being silly, let the dorky bb himbo live! I didn't think it came off like a desperate attempt to be liked either, that group's been acting the same way for days.

Also, everyone else is busy causing drama and being douchebags, I'd prefer him be a bit cringe and remain unfired than involve himself with the arguments.

Honestly, what made me cringe even harder than that was his weakass, ineffectual attempt at peacemaking the ZeZe/Lauren bitchfest. The flat-voiced, dead-eyed stock platitudes about 'having nice energy' and 'don't let something silly ruin a good day' made me want to tear my hair out. He has to be careful not to say anything that could upset the Strictly bosses, but if he can't manage something less bland and pointless and forced than that I'm begging him to just stay out of it! 😩

I did enjoy him being spontaneously bitchy to Uncle Gary though, even if he had to immediately follow it with 'no offence.' 😂

Re: the notion of only having Vito left who's un-ickified... hmm, can't agree. I was proper angry and disgusted with him the moment Ellie attempted that ridiculous lift. I don't want to hate him so I elected to give him the benefit of the doubt that he just really believed in her ability to handle it and let his puppyish enthusiasm override common sense, rather than pressuring her into something that could literally have killed her out of desperation to get his hands on a bit of plastic he'd already won weeks ago anyway. If I can still like Vito after that extremely dubious move, I have to forgive Nikita for failing to be funny on a dumb reality show.

Not sure I can ever forgive him for making me watch motherfucking Big Brother in the first place though. :cautious:
 
Still absolutely zero ick for me 🤷‍♀️ I can totally understand them making up stupid songs and silly dances and doing weird tit to pass the time - the boredom in there must be off the charts.

I also see a really sweet, caring, lovely young man. Like I said earlier, first up to wash the dishes. They were all sitting outside earlier and they all got up and left, he stayed behind and straighted all the pillows, folded all the blankets and brought in the cups that were on the table. I judge a person on the little things like that.


Edit - and I actually have a pretty low tolerance for ick, generally 😅
 
I remember thinking in the rooftop number with Vito that he could actually act surprisingly well, and it made me a bit worried that he might pull an AJ/Aljaz one day. Now after those painful improv game clips I'm torn between thinking 'phew, he's actually terrible, no chance of him leaving for that' and 'oh god what if he thinks he can though?' 😬

eta: actually I've thought more and changed my mind a bit. To be fair to him, nearly everyone else involved is an actual actor, of course he's going to look awful next to them. That would be intimidating too, even though they're just playing silly games. l think he probably would do better than AJ did if he had some acting lessons. He can convey emotions very well when he dances, it's just his line delivery that's stilted. But I still really hope he doesn't go down that road, since it has so little chance of working out.

Even non-sexual, I'm jealous. I never have dreams like that. The only time I've had a dream with Nikita in it, Zara was getting to have all the fun. And offscreen too - I'd happily have watched! :cry:

I almost never have sex/romantic dreams at all and when I do it's never just a nice normal thing like cuddling with a lovely normal human being, there's always some weird dream tit happening, like we're in the middle of parachuting out of an exploding plane and they're an electric blue android that keeps morphing into different people's faces, or we're in a treehouse and his dick turns into a 3 metre long strand of spaghetti and falls off.

If I ever have a Strictly sex dream, with my luck it'll probably be Fanny Rat and Anton dressed up as the twins from The Shining, in a submarine, with glow-in-the-dark willys. While the Seven Dwarves, Gollum, Neil and some guy I had a crush on in year 8 provide a Greek chorus. :cautious:

They didn't provide any, it was just a random bit they showed, no idea what came before or after. Unless there was more on the live stream, I haven't checked twitter yet.

It's not that exciting sadly. Not OTT enough to be funny, nor realistic enough to be hot, just an 'ok but why though' moment. I feel a bit bad for him if there was some further context that made it less cringe that didn't make the edit. Whatever it was it was something egged on by the other guys. It also wasn't exactly 'sex/orgasm noises' it was some random sentence (I cannot handle the cringe of listening to it again to find out what it was) repeated in an increasingly horny tone.

Nothing too terrible, just a little bit of a moment

I do think going off him permanently over it is a bit of an overreaction, but each to their own. I still can't watch without dying inside though.

I think I might have found a full Meg Ryan performance less cringe tbh. A joke like that does not work if you half-arse it, at least then it might have actually been funny. And hot. 😂 Instead it was neither. :cry:

I think it’s the combination of growing up in a loud Nigerian household ( have heard her siblings when they did the vts on strictly, they sound like her) with the Blackburn accent.
 
I couldn’t sleep last night and ended up reading some of the Layton/Nikita AT on DS. Woah there is a level of obsession there I haven’t seen since Rio days! Woe betide Nikita if he gets on super-well with next year’s partner, or doesn’t get awarded the Nobel peace prize!

(There’s also someone on there who reads here and reports back if any rare negative comment is made about Nelson Mandela Nikita. Don’t worry- only a few people have the ick. We still love him)

See, I can't be doing with that level of unconditional adoration. Nikita is lovely. I liked him with Tilly. Really liked him with Ellie. And loved him with Layton. But it's absolutely not an issue if someone you like does something you don't like and you happen to be honest about that. If it puts you off them a bit, then fair enough. He doesn't really have the same appeal to me now as I always liked his class and (as you put it @soccergirl) his mystique. For me, he's kinda lost that now. It cheapens his brand.

I imagine if those on that AT thread were being totally honest, too, they were aghast at the thought of him doing it when it was first rumoured. I saw plenty of comments totally disbelieving it to be true (Nikita wouldn't do such a thing) or just hoping it wasn't true (they didn't want him to do such a thing). Obviously everyone's done a complete 360 now, conveniently, and I think I last read that he must be doing it to raise awareness of Ukraine... diabetes... Ukranian diabetics... or some such.

Also, I used to read that thread sometimes and it was never so full-on. You'd think partnership fandoms would die down the longer the show and the tour has been over.

I like to play 'guess the Tattler' when I read DS 😁 I'm pretty sure people are calling Nikita a himbo in an affectionate way guys. And signing up for Big Brother is a himbo thing to do 😛
