I'd ditch Karen, Dianne, Nadiya, Luba & Michelle. I'd let Amy have one more proper year on the show and then she'd be offski too. Then if Nancy doesn't impress this year, she can go as well.

Jowita & Lauren should stay for years hopefully, and try to keep Queen Katya in it for a bit longer.

I’d keep Luba, Nancy, Katya, Jowita and Lauren. The rest can go! I’d imagine Karen and Dianne might move on soon anyway

I'm a huge fan of Nikita (that won't be news to most of you 🤣), I think he's an amazing dancer, a lovely lovely person and a fantastic ambassador for diabetes and - yes - I fancy the absolute arse off him. And yes, I was initially 😬 at the thought of him doing Big Brother, that was my genuine immediate reaction. Then I sat with it a while and thought about it, and I came to the conclusion... why shouldn't he do it? The pay for Strictly dancers is, quite frankly, not that great for the amount of work they put into it. If he can sit in a house for 3 weeks and make a significant chunk of change (apparently more than he makes on SCD for what is basically 6 months work) while also getting his face out there to a larger audience, then I can totally understand the appeal.

I also don't think he needs to speak about his diabetes, or what's happening in Ukraine,to justify being in the house (if he doesn't want to). I've seen a lot of people - not so much here but elsewhere- talking about how he should speak about it. How about no? If he just wants to go in there and be silly and have fun, let him. On Strictly he always has to be the one being mature and supportive. Let him live.

I also wanna talk about the 'cringe' thing and how he's 'ruined his mystique' for some people (and if this offends... well 🤷‍♀️). Nikita isn't just a figure of lust to be perfect for you. He's a human being. And if seeing him acting like a human being is cringe and ruins him for you, there are plenty of Ken dolls in the shops who you can project fantasies on who will never do anything wrong.

The attraction is sorta ruined for me at the moment (I'm sure I'll get over it by the time next series starts) but I also agree with you. For me it's mostly just the massive ick factor of Big Brother itself. If I was seeing him act like this in any other context, like on social media, I don't think I'd find it anywhere near as cringy, but it's the entire concept of the show that makes me wanna hurl myself off a cliff lol. No matter what he does it seems 😬 because he's doing it in the Big Brother house. I also just have a very low tolerance for any kind of improv situation. Like, anyone making up a song or dance or acting scene on the spot is something I can barely stand to look at because of second-hand embarrassment, no matter who it is or even if the end product is actually pretty good. Like I always have to brace myself for those kinds of tasks on Taskmaster and can't find most of them funny the first time round, and those are professional comedians. Totally a social anxiety-related me problem. So on one hand I hate this but on the other hand, no I don't begrudge him taking the offer because yeah, the pros aren't paid enough. And just because the thought of being locked in a house with a bunch of strangers sounds like a nightmare to me doesn't mean no one's allowed to think it's fun. I'm still going to keep watching through my fingers and thinking 'oh god why' every 30 seconds, but I'm not unstanning.

I also think the edit is doing him a bit of disservice at the moment. We know he must have had serious, interesting conversations with people because of those clips where Sharon and Louis and Levi and Lauren have talked about how lovely, charming, smart etc they think he is, but mostly all we're seeing of him is pointless fluff. I'm sure I'm fretting about nothing and they're just planning to give him a proper 'storyline'/show a different side to him or whatever after a couple more of the early exits are out of the way. Or else they want to get rid of him because he won't let them have their hot tub hookup, in which case I guess it's still a positive if 'a bit boring' is the worst edit they can give him.
 
@diamondthunder there definitely have been interesting conversations, we're just not getting to see them.

A couple of instances off the top of my head.. in the Live when Nikita was asking Bradley and Colson about intimacy co-ordinators, I was finding that conversation so good and then it immediately cut to a break then came back and it was the oldies (like I'm not one 🤣) in the kitchen with birdsong.

Also when he was talking to Bradley about his autism and what helps, again it cut away. All stuff I would have loved to listen to and likely won't make the main show. It's frustrating because people aren't getting to see that.

And that's absolutely fine - it's not just been here it has been on other places I frequent too, and I chose the/your word mystique because it's a bleeping good word and it describes how a lot of people have been thinking in a very succinct way.

Yeah, the only other pro I would say (for me) who has the same 'mystique' is Johannes. That thoughtful quiet class, who lets his talent do the talking. I'm really excited to see him live in a few months!

Nikita is a young lad to me, so him being daft or whatever is nothing I wouldn't expect and I enjoyed his silliness with Layton on his socials, etc. But like a couple of others, it's just the CBB element that 'icks' me. I don't even mean that as snobbish against the show. I'd get sucked in if I started watching it - I'd want arguing, back-stabbing, and the ones I don't like making a tit of themselves.

But it has always had the reputation for being the place washed-up z-listers went to die and attention-seeking wannabes fought to be born. And if tit happens then I'd just think, well you're on CBB, it's your own fault for being such a desperado.

It's what jars me with Nikita doing it, and I still wonder what the actual method-in-the-madness for doing it is (if anything). But this thread is a lot more open-minded than somewhere like DS/App threads. You can still like someone, but think they've made a tit choice without banishment or eviction, or whatever it is that happens there 😆

Good for her, I guess? They must be serious if they're still together after tour and seem to be planning to stay so, as she's about to go off round the country for months.

Meanwhile Kate Middleton has reappeared before Vito has. Maybe he took Kate's pic? Probably hipping up a carbonara for her as we speak..

I wasn't that fussed either way about them on Strictly, but they seem quite sweet together. Also post-Strictly must be a weird period to process and get through for anyone, let alone when you're young, so I guess it's nice they have each other
