We've got 2 ringers in this years show and for me neither of them have had a Wow dance.

I totally agreed with Craig tonight when he said there was no connection between Sarah and Vito. She's a great dancer buts it's really soulless. Same with Tasha. And it looks like Vito and Aljaz are going mental to try and cover up their partners lack of personality.

And I know I seem to moan about this every week - but the singers!!! Dear God the singers 😱😱😱

Stand By Me - murdered
Someone you - murdered
Get Happy - aaaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhh
The worst song ever on Strictly, for me, was Mariah Carey's "Fantasy", from a couple of weeks ago - Lord God, such a cacophony, I never heard the like! 😮

The Gene Kelly comment was bonkers. I was surprised at Craig's stupidity tbh.
What next? On Masterchef the contestants are told 'well Escoffier would have done it better' or on Britain's Got Talent 'well Maria Callas would have hit that top note darling'.
You're judging against fellow amateur contestants - not the best the world has ever seen ffs.

This is where Jamie is way too polite because what that comment really needed was for the celeb to firmly take them to task, a bit of gentle ridicule would have highlighted the utter idiocy of such a remark.

You're right - he was probably too startled to respond as was Michelle. Something along the lines of 'Gene Kelly? Well we thought we'd keep it real and aim for a combination of Astaire and Nureyev. Something more achievable'.

As sad as I am to see Jamie go I can’t help but think thank god for his sake, he has spoken about having debilitating anxiety and it can’t be easy for him to give it his all be picked to shreds every week, compared with the treatment of others. Michelle too must be wondering if she’s doing something wrong in her first year. I’d love them to do the tour as I think they would easily get some wins with their paso and give them the boost they need

I said similar upthread. Watching them being crushed every week by the feedback was unpleasant to say the least. So, as much as I am really sad to see them go, because I loved them and wanted them to win, I am glad for them, in that respect.

I wondered if the judges were a bit pissy with Michelle for even hinting obliquely that they were being very harsh on ITT. They seem very thinskinned and precious. I know they had it in for Jamie anyway but maybe that didn't help (I'm not saying she shouldn't have said anything). I don't think they gave her any praise ever did they? Or even mentioned her? Topped off with Anton sulking about Jamie's impersonations.

now we will be deprived of our Victorian Pasty Boy, dancing to Food Glorious Food, from Oliver and then going up to the judges with a begging bowl and asking "please Shirley, can I have an extra point!"

He would have suited that
Or I'd do anything with Michelle

Or 'Who? What the duck are you on about, Craig? Isn't this supposed to be a competition for amateurs?'
Meanwhile Tess malfunctions completely with shock. 🤣

I watched Nine Kittens yesterday. Then a dreadful one called The Christmas Toy Maker. One of those ones obviously filmed in summer with terrible fake snow 😂

I woke up still discombobulated, sad and fuming about last night. Anton was a disgrace how he spoke to Jamie. Downright rude. Can't even be bothered to waste more brain space on awful Shirley. Chris will win. It's all ridiculous.
I refuse to watch any xmas movies till 1 December.... then it will be jingle all the way!

I'm fuming yet not surprised. They've been gunning to get rid of Jamie for weeks. Undermarked, over critiqued (GENE KELLY FFS) and given a frosty reception from the judges for weeks now. It's absolutely baffling. This is only the second series of Strictly I've watched and they did the same to Nigel last year, I presume this is a regular trend? Seeing someone go from being so full of enthusiasm and joy to looking so crushed and dejected every week is really uncomfortable for me. I don't think I'll watch again.

Strangely enough Nigel was compared to Gene Kelly last year. He was also likened to Patrick Swayze.

Are 'Gene Kelly' buzz words to give rude and over critical remarks and underscore continually?

These judges are a bunch of bandits, very much overpaid bandits at that. They are ruining this programme.

This is where I think Layton & Nikita has ruined all future ringers. Their dances were just so knock-out amazing that no one will ever be able to compete with them ever again (or maybe that's just me 😅). There's definitely a spark in everything they did, whereas Sarah and Tasha are just vapid and bland - which just about sums up the empty headed bores that go on Love Island. No other discernible talent so rely on shite reality TV to get them the exposure they want.

I was on a course that Saturday last year, and happened to glance at my phone during the afternoon break. I was absolutely gutted. I didn't really care much after that although I still watched to the end. Layton was my winner. This year, I actually don't care at all now with Jamie gone. If he hadn't been treated unfairly by the judges, it wouldn't be quite as bad. I hope he does impressions of all of them now because he is brilliant.

Was loving watching Nigel and Katya being so inventive with their dances. Nigel was a beautiful dancer, it was so easy to see the story right there in their dance. Last night the judges talked about the dances telling a story, however to the untrained eye I could not see one, it was merely dancing to music.

It was a dreadful day when Nigel got injured, I was so confident that one Saturday he would dance and the judges might be kind to him. 🤗 They even dragged him in to talk in the live show when he was obviously in pain. I only watched after that to see him and Katya have their little bit on the final show.

I could see Jamie's eyes watering up last night, it brought back the memories of last year. They are not so great with Pete either but he seems to brush it off, it probably does affect him though. It cannot be right that the judges treat these people with such disdain. They are not some subordinates who deserve a tongue lashing, they are people just like them. It is playing mind games and gently destroying confidence, which is sad and hurtful to see on a fmily tv show.
