Bill really benefited from it being a shorter series.

Had it been the usual marathon, I really think he'd have started to flag and the momentum he had from his Couple's Choice couldn't have carried him all the way.
 
I would much prefer to watch characters who make me smile and are working hard like Pete and Ghost pasty boy than good dancers who are bland like JB and I’m afraid to say Tasha, although I do think their partners Amy and Aljaz are a big part of that and if they were paired with more engaging partners who could bring themselves out of themselves more it would be different. I do find Amy and Aljaz to be pros who are not particularly creative with their choreography and the focus does seem to be more of them, at least this year with their triumphant returns.

And he had Oti who is PHENOMENAL and popular with Strictly fans. I often had to watch Oti and her partners dances twice because first time I'd be watching her and totally miss what her Celeb partner was doing 😂😂

Stacey winning was such an anticlimax, I wanted Faye to so badly - her CC and charleston were beyond amazing

I agree. I don't know an awful lot about dancing, which is partly why I enjoy choreography corner, and hearing and seeing the technicalities explained. I love a performance that makes me smile. Tony Adams and my goddess Katya, The Full Monty, quite honestly I'd never get tired of watching that. 😁

I feel the same re Jamie and Pete, as I said upthread, not taking themselves seriously, but working hard and enjoying the whole thing. Finding both of them really likeable, and am imagining the Eastenders set having a photo of Jamie in that outfit, waiting to greet him, when he went back in to work. 🤣

I'm not mesmerised by JB or Tasha, and I think it's partly down to exactly what you have said there. I think there's an element of making it more about the pros in both cases, and while I don't dislike either of them, they are not my favourite ones either. I think if Tasha was with Kai, I'd be far more interested in their dancing.

Kai and Lauren's dance on the results show, now that was mesmerising. I miss Kai from this series. As an aside, I wonder who Toyah would have been paired with, had she not asked for Neil. She was delighted with him anyway, I didn't see all of their interview on ITT but she certainly left with good grace, which is always nice to see.

I usually love a bit of a ringer and vote for them but Tasha is rather forgettable which leads me to believe that it's an Aljaz issue, he really has run out of ideas. He's always been reliable in ballroom but even those dances don't inspire me to re-watch on youttube.
 
I'm still mad about Maisie, Ashley and Faye. To be honest, the person I want to win rarely wins any TV show :ROFLMAO: On that topic, who are all your fave contestants over the years?

Off the top of my head I loved Jill H, Darren G, Louisa L, Kara T, Harry J, Georgia MF, Kellie B, Jay (what a bleeping year), Ashley & Faye, Kelvin, Maisie and Rose. Actually looking at that I haven't done that bad with some winners, so I'll STFU :ROFLMAO:

When they were waiting to dance on the live show, they were one of the pairs that seemed closest. He was making sure to reassure her before she got into position - they seemed close 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you for confirming this. I really like the two of them and they both seem like lovely people to me. They are up there with Punam, Tasha, Chris and Pete for me in terms of making the show enjoyable to watch.
 
I feel bad that my brain switches off when Tasha dances as she is clearly very good but I find it boring and it doesn’t grab my attention at all. She could be dynamite with some exciting choreography and a bit of chemistry. For an attractive man Aljaz has no chemistry with her and he appears to have adopted the persona of the village idiot. Whack a wooly hat on him and get him saying Miss Dianne and the transition will be complete.

I absolutely LOVE Johannes and Montell. They are stunning as a couple, and both such lovely people.

I adore Johannes anyway. I loved the clip that was posted here yesterday of the pro dance, in which he and Kai dance together. I remember it from the show but it was gorgeous to watch all over again.

After week 3 Ellie's odds were 7/1 to win.. I don't think that made her favourite, but I do know that she gave me a feeling and I stuck a fiver on her 😂
